So we shouldn't hold the lead developer of the game responsible for literally lying to us? You're just being asinine and argumentative now. People are allowed to criticize Yoshi and SE, he's even encouraged it himself.

He is director and producer, I am not sure he does Development, I dont see "lead Developer" as part of what he does. he is listed as Producer for XVI. in terms of his job, while I am sure a bit more time may have been spent on XVI, I doubt it should have affected Development as a whole, since he's not in the trenches coding.

you want to call him out for being poor at predicting productivity of the team in XIV, be my guest. I mean he said that in 2020 I believe when he was made producer of XVI, the world has changed a bit since then. Is everything you said valid three years later? I know that I would be hard pressed to say "yes" if someone asked that of me, especially after all we have been through

The suggestion to go outside/take a walk/touch grass doesn't really bother me (solid advice for anyone if you ask me), but the passive-aggressiveness of these suggestions does. And yes, most of the time it is passive aggressiveness, not a friendly suggestion.

I've honestly been saying that maybe they need to hire more people for their team. I understand OP and I feel it too, it just sucks. I'm having a harder time with each patch release to get excited because I know at most there's only 1-2 hours of anything new. I will say though the new deep dungeon is definitely a step in the right direction, however everything else has seen a decline in quality imo.

I see what you're saying here but the problem is the things I said 3 years ago weren't claims to a community actively paying me for a product. I even gave him leeway in the OP that it could have been a poor prediction as people aren't infallible and I understand that. However, that being said? We are still deserving of something here in the way of acknowledgement as like I said, we are actively paying for a product and a false promise was made. Even just a simple "sorry, I messed up and will strive to do better" would be enough but the complete radio silence on the recent lack of quality leads me to believe this is just the status quo now and that's a really hard pill to swallow.

I don't really see how this would help anything. Achievement hunting in general is something only a super niche subset of video game players have cared about even since they were first conceived. Would you mind explaining your reasoning?

They're also working on the graphics upgrade. It feels odd that everyone blames XVI or wants to blame XVI. They have to go through the entire game to give us better lighting and shadows a better resolution for the older and non unique face models. That is a bunch of assets they need to look at and update. Then people try to use the we get less content when it's the same amount just some of it got repackaged as other things. Yet because it's not things some like or didn't come out in a way some wanted or expected it to that must mean it's bad somehow.

This is why we need people to start actually taking a step back and looking at the general perspective rather than focusing whats in front of them.

Yeah sure, nobody likes attitude, but if we can get over that for a minute and actually understanding whats being said, maybe we'd find more value in words, instead of being Blinded by how we feel they are presented. Its a Good Suggestion None the Less.....feeling Passive Aggression behind it I dont think should effect it.

You are completely missing the point here. Good lord. I never said it was a defense of the game either. You are just putting words in my mouth at this point. Intent matters, and I am only speaking about this forum and its posters. Attitude tends to overshadow literally everything that's being said. Heck, it probably overshadows this post. But we are both well aware of how I got here, or at least that should be the case.
