Relative to making normal content harder we are getting trusts to run most of the msq content. I doubt they will make two versions of that content one for trusts and one for those who want things harder. There is room for more midcore content and they did make Criterion available and one has to wait and see how the new versions of that content are and how they might adjust them based on feedback and content participation.

After all is said and done normal content will remain normal content in my view regardless of those who want things to be harder.
Imagine thinking lots of healers are happy when the Duty Finder still gives healers near instant queues instead of thinking "Maybe the current healers that are actively queueing consistently are the only ones enjoying healing".
Yeah, lots of the current healers are happy because the people who played healers quit in droves from disliking the changes to the role. Not because MSQ content is difficult - everyone knows MSQ content is made to be accessible. It's because their class is boring. Healing is utterly boring when I'm only actively engaging as a healer for a small fraction of the time the higher level I go.

You're also right -- the devs clearly do not see it that way, even with multiple threads and continuous feedback. They probably have the same mindset since removing Kaiten for Samurais.

I love to play mainly as a healer, but healer in FFXIV is so mind-numbingly dry that I took a break from FFXIV to play another game. After healing over those games, I definitely did not come back to FFXIV to play healer as actively as I had in the past. Even in a game with a heavy P2W model, I found being a healer in there to be more fun than FFXIV's healer, simply because those games actually understand the difference between "accessibility" and "interactivity". I only came back to chill with friends and do some roulette dailies because I like the rest of the game as a whole. I still play tank and DPS, and I still play for the story. The same can probably be said to a lot of healers who have directly just quit the role and started playing something else.
