We already hit that point right now. On your spriggan new wards are half empty. Even in a desirable location like Mists there are large and medium FC houses that remain empty not to mention dozens of small houses available to regular players. It's the same on older, more active servers like Loui or Ragnarok.

I was refering back to when housing was first implemented. There may be enough now, but there were barely 25 wards per location at first.

I actually seriously discussed the idea the other guy had. They'd have to rebuild the engine to make moving between cities seamless, as well as build huge new areas considering their actual size. Every single zone in the game, from the ground up, would have to go through level design. It wasn't contrarian, and I wished it was possible. My expectations of SE are just so low that adding instanced housing is just a step above what they've already just done. It was such a lazy, rushed "fix" they didn't even handle it properly when they made the change, with all the "0 wins!"
I even said I'd actually like the dynamic idea too. Anything that gives everyone an opportunity to own the size they want is fine. Adjusting plot sizes, adjusting apartment sizes, whatever. You actually haven't said shit other than "ban rmters" which is conclusively not the reason this is a problem, and "instanced housing won't work."

Each system they introduced has its downside.

When housing was first added to the game, it was first come first serve. You log in, run the plot, and purchase it. There was no invisible timer to purchase a plot once it got demolished.
Downside: You had to race against other players and RMT.

Then they added the invisible timer in hope of reducing the number of RMT purchasing plots as soon as they become available. That didn't work. It made a lot of players result to using 3rd party tools, and programmable buttons in order to join The Placard (Savage).

And most recently, they introduced the lottery system. In hope of making it fair for everyone (This includes both the players & RMT). Yet, this still falls in favor of RMT since RMT has multiple accounts (A whole team) that can bid on plots while the average player only has few alts at most.

I don't have time to calculate the odds, but I and four of my friends managed to purchase our plots when new wards were added to the game and the system was first come first serve.

Since I am pretty sure you mean me since I did complain about my large and its yard. I never said I hated the fact I couldn't make the yard to my liking for others to see. I honestly don't give a damn what other ppl think about my house or my large(no one sees it anyway bc you know NO ONE HANGS OUT IN WARDs!!!!!). Even if ppl was around to look at my house I wouldn't care. I didn't get a house or want a house to show off to others. I wanted a place of my own to just hang out by myself and make it look nice for myself. I even said a bunch of times I never really wanted a large in the first place. I was talked into getting it by a friend who I lost as a friend a while back. I rather have a med bc they are easier to decorate and have a decent item cap that a small house cant get you. Even apartments are bad bc they have even lower item caps as smalls. So yeah instanced housing would be a lot better for me bc I get what I want. A med to a large size room(with the item cap of those houses) to call my own and use as I please. Guess you just can't understand that since it seems like you really like showing off how smart you are when you really are not. You even put words in other mouths to try to prove your point. Like this time since none of my posts about my large ever said I care what others think about my yard. If anyone wants my large they can have it bc Im hoping in the next cycle Im gone from that trash goblet location and into a med in Ishgrad or somewhere else.

True - the Large plot oposite-right my Small was snapped up, as was the one oposite-above at the top of the steps - in fact, I talked to the friendly couple who were bidding on it and were 'standing guard' (for lack of a better term) over it during the hours leading the the auction period ending!

However the two small plots nearest mine are still free and had no bids last time I looked (yesterday).

Been there before, 3 houses lost, with 2 of them gone to some random who just came to spam click for like 15m before getting it vs me and few other who had been there for hours. Third house was lost to a relocator.

The old panel clicking system was the dumbest one. It was unhealthy and mind numbing to those trying to do it the legit way. Then, imagine having to take a short break or receiving a call the moment the timer expired. Many have real life obligations that do not allow them to play the game without interruption and stupidly click on a panel during hours.

I feel like people only want the old placard spam back because it'll limit how many people show up compared to the lottery and better their own odds. You're right, people have lives and shouldn't be forced to stand there for hours on end and having a life doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to get a house. The new system is better for giving everyone a chance who wants one and it's 100x better just on that fact.
