Yes we have party finder, but xiv 2.0 and on was designed around more than just that. In world of Warcraft, vanilla especially, it was all about exploring the world, partying with random players, adding them to your friends list. Dungeon needs were basically built around chat and meeting to get it done. They eventually implemented meeting stones which was nice.

The moment party finder was implemented, there was no need to socialize and communicate for dungeons in WoW.

And yet FF XIV managed and continues to manage just fine with the social aspect. That was not the problem with WoW, and it is not a problem here either. Its problems were and still are far and away from DF and PF.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

I'm not so sure. WotLK had the dungeon finder and yet it was the most popular that WoW has ever been.

Ya spamming the chat with LFG was soooo social *eye roll.* The anti DF crowd will never make sense to me. DF didn't hurt WoW and the notion that it did is beyond ridiculous.

Not only did it not hurt WoW, its introduction caused a huge spike in people actually doing content. There's a reason Wrath was the most popular expansion. Those numbers didn't really start to thin out until Cata, but I mean... Cata. Who could blame people for leaving?

I can tell you right now that classic wow destroys that concept given in TBC faction balance eventually turned every pvp server into a pve server since you have mega servers that either 99% horde or alliance. Even in vanilla classic after BWL was released the only interaction you had with the world was entirely centered around getting world buffs for raid and then raid logging your character after raiding Tuesday or Wednesday. Your socialization moved to the Discord servers for your guild and for your own server.

The sad part is we know this is the result from countless years of mmo experience, factions that give advantages dont work because everyone will eventually join the winning one.

New world literally did the same thing, 3 factions and what happened was everyone just joined the winning faction that controlled the entire map to reap the benefits.

The fact mmo devs keep repeating the same mistakes over and over is depressing.

The tryhard elitist is the person who is going to finish their 5 pieces on this created to be beaten """"challenge"""" and then complaint that the baby, slower or less dexterous person are a problem which not only is toxic but indirectly implies that doing this basic created to be beaten task faster is an """achievement""" of """great skill""" which helps to falsely boost the elitist's self worth as that is their true motive, if challenge was truly their desire they would relish in the chance to do more than the rest.
The healthy person on the other hand will either let people finish their part or assist them for their self worth does not depend on solving basic puzzles created to be beaten, aka as a video game.
