I think the point of this thread is to just inform griefers of what people think about them because doing so in game risks getting banned. The truth is no one wants to play with them and it would be a blessing if they did something else instead of playing with real players. This isn't school, it's not other players responsibility to motivate other players to read like a teacher would. If they don't want to, I don't care. They can play solo, quit, craft, stay on the island/Limsa, find a premade, play with the apologists who will coddle them, whatever they want to. I simply won't play with them until they read their tooltips or ask for help.

Kicking isn't meant to produce motivation to improve. It's to get rid of them. What they do after being kicked is their choice since it's their sub after all.

I highly doubt griefers are reading this forum tbf...nor do I think they really care about our opinions anyway. If they're intentionally griefing then why would they stop just because random people they don't know complain on here? XD I feel like that would fuel it further and cause them to act out more because they're being given attention.

It's also pretty known that the forums are known as a toxic place so the people I run into and talk about the forums with have no intention of actually visiting here. So, I feel that speaking for the majority in this case is a bit of a stretch since the majority isn't even here to represent themselves. It's usually just the same names over and over again in threads.

If ya'll want to go on a crusade against the 5% or whatever number is being thrown around, that's on you. I just kinda view it as a waste because not only are the people you wanting to change most likely not even here, no ones providing an actual solution to the problem that could be implemented by the devs and provide a better playing experience for everyone outside of "purge the sickness".

Finally, in my two years I've been playing I've maybe encountered one or two actual griefers and they've been in alliance roulette content spinning the boss and murdering half the party. As several have said in this thread, it's not a common occurrence so treating it like it's one is an overexaggeration. Probably is better to just admit that some want to control how others play and any other way aside from what they view as proper is unacceptable. At least it would be honest.
