To be fair, ffxivdiscussion has purposely made a thread encouraging everyone there to mass upvote the JP post in hopes it'll get some traction. So that's likely why it has such a high number of likes.

How many times have they posted about it, I wonder? We see this come up every so often, hence my initial response. Your depiction of the community is way off because people are seldom able to form such a post. Whether it's in-game content or in the forums, JP always have everyone beat on organization.
