The Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation isn't just going to invest money for no reason into this, FFXIV is already profitable so there isn't a problem in SE's eyes. Such is the way of BudgetwalkerAgree to all except the bit regarding grandfathered houses. Pretty sure they made it clear already that people won't be asked to give up those plots, so my opinion is the same as what I stated above: I'm in favor of any solution that does not involve houses being removed from people. There's no reason to. Square just needs to suck it up, invest the money needed and provide instanced housing for those who want it. Neighborhoods were fine when the game was smaller, and houses sat abandoned for extended periods of time, it's not working anymore and its time they realize that. If people want to live in wards they should be able to and if they want to only have their own private space, they should be able to.
