I'd argue Syrcus Tower, at least, needs some updating. Labyrinth may be a cakewalk but still requires some awareness here and there or else someone may die or cause a wipe (atomos, ghost buff, meteor, ancient flare) and WoD....well, the trash pull at the very entrance is already a rite of passage that tends to kill half the raid, let alone Angry Mango and the DOOOOOOOOM debuffs.
Tower, on the other hand, is nothing but glorified target dummies - heck, I still don't know what the second boss is even supposed to do aside from the occasional giant circle/cone aoe, he just...stands there. Menacingly!

There is also a mechanic to make you go to the outer small platforms, and jump between them killing adds, or get killed in the middle. IIRC those are all the mechanics it has.
Thanks, but that only highlights the issue I stated: you never even get to see any of that because the fight never lasts long enough for him to do anything. Syrcus Tower, between the 3 raids, is the only one where you can ignore mechanics entirely and nothing would happen - the single exceptions being Amon's curtain call which happens once, and Xande's earthquake thingy which happens twice.

so apparently the only option that doesn't "stress the newbies" is either pressing 1211111111, or do nothing at all.
