Didn't realize just saying a simple thank you is considered toxic positivity now
Let's not be naive about this.
It's because these types of big public 'thankyous' always appear when there's controversy in the community, and are more intended to serve as opposition to the people that are unhappy rather than legitimately offer thanks to anyone. It's just empty posturing in an attempt to signal moral superiority.
I mean, just look at hilarious statements like this:
Like yeah, I think it's silly to make a big public show of thanking the devs after one of the most disasterous raid tier launches since Heavensward, therefore I must yell at 16 year old kids working at mcdonalds.

Come on now, you don't need to be 16 to make an a__ of yourself in a public setting, sometimes you don't even need the public setting! Look at the leave brittany alone guy! :^D

Please understand, LittleImp:
A very very large fraction of the playerbase doesn't give a rat's ass about the current endgame raid tiers, never have, and never will.
Since those players pay the same subscription you do, don't you think it's appropriate that they thank the developers if they like the parts of the game they do give a rat's ass about? After all, you've made it clear that paying your subscription doesn't indicate that you are happy with the devs' efforts.
I thought that the ability to read people's minds at a distance was just comic-book fantasy, but apparently Kazhar has figured out how to do it. What's your secret, Kazhar? It's not just that you're making this insulting shit up, is it?

I don't need to use my mind powers on you. You're so incredibly transparent. I could give the benefit of the doubt to most of the others but you? I know you're nothing more than a truly vile and unhinged person.

Lmao you sound like raids hurt your family or something oh my god. I will never wrap my head around this level of weird aggression towards a feature you don't participate in.
Also, Savage tier clear rates have hit 50%+ on some JP servers. In terms of different side content, raids probably actually see one of the highest participation rates. Whether it's relevant to your personal experience or not, they're a pretty core part of this games endgame and patch cycle.

It's impossible to read what you've written there, Kazhar, without concluding that you're a hater.
And haters gotta hate.
How, in a rational world, is not giving a rat's ass about a feature "aggression towards a feature"?
I have no beef with content I don't do, whether it's raid tiers, chocobo racing, Bozja, or island sanctuaries.
I simply don't give a rat's ass about that content, one way or the other.
If I ever start doing it, I'll probably start caring and having opinions about it.
Until then, nope.
If I suspected that anyone with an opinion worth respecting would buy into your hateful spew, AwesomeJr, I might bother to refute it. But I don't, so I won't.
I'll just note that you have once again proven that what I posted earlier in this thread, about how the haters go after people who refuse to hate what they hate, is true.

I think you've misunderstood what others are saying. Getting paid to do a job is what occurs when you put in the bare minimum. Putting in the bare minimum and then expecting thanks or praise is absurd as your paycheck is your thanks. If you want people to thank you or praise your work, you have to go beyond just the bare minimum.
Cool. You do that. Just don't be surprised that when you call people with valid criticisms 'haters', or come into threads to cause drama, they won't like you. I for one will be continuing to call out SE when they make mistakes. This does not make me a hater, this makes me honest, something you sadly are incapable of.
Wow, you really can't go one post without bragging about your life can you? Silverbane, do you have an addiction to boasting? I know that with you being one of the more... aged posters, you might be looking for the validation you're not getting in your life. But I'm not an internet psychologist so I won't make any final judgements.
Do you know what caused the downfall of WoW? It all started when the devs stopped listening to criticism from their players. If you love the game as much as you claim, then let the critics point out its flaws without labeling them as 'hAtErS'. It's the only way the game will improve. But of course you ARE a known liar and are also known to be quite unhinged so I wouldn't be surprised if you actually hated the game, and have been trolling this entire time on a quest to get the game to self implode. Please ignore all the insults that the haters in the EN forums heap on you. You provide something that brings joy to and is well-loved by a great many people. Only a relatively small number of people can claim to have done that, and I doubt that many, if any, of your detractors are among them.
Behold:
Despite this last week and the amount of flak that they received, they work extremely hard to bring us a game that is much loved and enjoyed. The amount of hate I have seen this past week because a class can't do 1% more damage is absurd in the slightest, but then again that is only less than 2% of the community most likely complaining. Those that are complaining are the ones that have zero ideal what they are talking about and are only outcrying what their favorite streamer is telling them to outcry.
The OP wore their intentions on their sleeve.
The game is balanced for high end content. Do you know why this is? Because in baby conten- I mean normal content, there aren't enrages in like 99.9% of the fights, so you can literally auto attack the boss to death and job balance just doesn't matter. Thus when the people playing content that actually requires you to have a brain begin complaining that job balance is in the crapper, those are the people who should have the dev's attention. They're the ones playing the content in which job balance matters. You'd know this if you actually played high end content. (and if you do play savage content and still think that, I don't know what to say, you're just wrong)
Using your logic, we shouldn't listen to crafter mains when they say that crafting is boring because most people don't play crafters at a level where they'd care enough to complain. Using your logic, we shouldn't listen to people playing BLU when they want BLU to get a lv 80 update because most people don't play BLU. Do you see how stupid this logic is?
Well you see Theodric, people like Silverbane have fooled themselves into the delusion that the SE dev team has a relationship with them similar to that of a spouse. This when someone criticizes the dev team, they take it as a personal attack at their 'spouse'.The term 'white knight' is typically used in response to posters who will deliberately enter a thread offering criticism and insist that there's no problem at all and that anyone who has an issue with the game is a 'hater' who should just quit. Instead of simply learning to agree to disagree and acknowledging that the primary purpose of this forum is specifically to leave feedback for the development team to do with as they see fit.
A lot of us are here with the intention of maintaining a normal relationship between a customer (us) and a service provider (the creators of the game). If some of you want to insist that there's some deep, personal connection between yourselves and the development team in the same way that some people think that a celebrity might one day glance their way? So be it. Go ahead. Not everybody is interested in that, though.
I'll be honest - I've always found elements of this fandom to be creepily cult-like at times and I'm not going to pretend as if even reasonable feedback written in a polite and constructive manner isn't shot down by some of the same posters who are now getting angry within this very thread because there's a growing outcry of acknowledgement that maybe, just maybe, some elements of the game could stand to improve.
Well it makes sense that you'd be able to identify a hater. You're their queen.
I'm not the one who goes into threads about how hard it is to get a house, just to brag about how I have multiple. I'm not the one who enters threads and claims anyone who isn't hyper positive is a 'hater'. You love projecting and calling everyone else a hater but you're probably the most hate-filled person on the forums. If I suspected that anyone with an opinion worth respecting would buy into your hateful spew, AwesomeJr, I might bother to refute it. But I won't.
I'll just note that you have once again proven that what I posted earlier in this thread, about how the haters go after people who refuse to hate what they hate, is true.
