The whole storage thing I find pretty laughable if players can create a bunch of FCs, rank up to max and get 50 storage slots per tab. Up to 5 now I think for 250 slots per FC.

If players on average made a boatload of small private FCs you suddenly have a ridiculous amount of storage space.

So the whole glamour dresser limitation thing falls flat on it's face.

When it comes to lying it very much is about bullshit and promises over the game's life.

Part of it is not so much lying but the situation changes. Years ago Yoshi P claimed Blue Mage just couldn't happen in XIV and yet here we are.

Other early example is that there were no plans to make Female Roegadyn...that happened due to community backlash. Which happened again with Viera. And now Hrothgar.

I still think the best thing was him stalling over the whole fix parry over the entirety of 3.0 just for him to go lol removed it after a whole year.

And don't get me started on the housing lottery system. If it's a lottery you shouldn't even have to pay gil for it since the chance of winning is so low. It's just a bad system.

That said the game is not terrible and is quite good so I think that the community should criticize the dev team where it's due such as job balance and the AWFUL treatment of Hrothgar BUT I also think the community shouldn't go out of their way to bring out pitchforks and have a blood feud either.

If there is one thing I've learned, it's that in order to make major changes to stats or jobs, they feel they have to wait until the next expansion.

Cross-class skills were always strange, but they didn't remove them until 4.0. Bowmage was a disaster, but they didn't fix it until 4.0. MCH needed to change to be as good as BRD, but it didn't until 5.0.

Waiting 2 years to fix a problem feels like they are "stalling" but development is a slow process and over the years I have slowly understood this better.
