Unpopular opinion on G'raha Tia (spoilers)

I have no clue if this topic has been discussed before. My apologies in advance if it has.

I personally think G'raha's story should have ended atop the Crystal Tower without him returning to the Source.

It would have "cemented" him as a much more awe-inspiring character for his sacrifice (to me) and would have added even more emotional weight to 5.3's ending. Instead, we know in advance that he'll come back and we even get to meet him in the Source just 30 minutes after the fact.

I don't hate him. I think he's a fine addition to the Scions. But whenever I think of him now, I think of fanservice.

On a side note, I don't excuse Y'shtola's many fakeouts either. But plot-armor is a discussion for another thread.

Letting characters bow out and exit with grace was like they did back in Heavensward with Ysayle and Haurchefaunt was one of the better aspects of the kind of storytelling we enjoyed in that era.

Despite however vocal some of his current fans are, there are a significant amount of people who are dissatisfied with his current treatment. If it does not improve, then indeed we would've been better off leaving him behind atop the Crystal Tower.

I liked him when he was a respectable character, a leader. These days he looks like a goof following us, doing nothing but waving his ears and being cute.

I liked him a lot, but seriously, I think I'd rather see him end up in 5.3 being a leader, than become this little dog that keeps chasing me.

I mean, we kinda DID leave him atop the Crystal Tower in the First. That version of him died there. This is what I choose to believe, because the alternative is the Warrior of Light committing an oopsie and accidentally dropping G'raha's more mature and tolerable Exarch persona somewhere in the vast depths of the Interdimensional Rift whilst drifting back to the Source during the tail end of 5.3.

I'd have been glad to never hear the word Allag uttered again after the end of Season 1.

And naturally there's this sort of dismissiveness and misinterpretation of people's critiques on both the characters present in the main cast at the moment and those we would've liked to see added.

Trust me when I say the last thing "edgelords" wanted was a character questioning "What is a friend?" Because that's not an answer she'll ever find hanging around the Scions that's for sure.

Aaaaaaaayuuuup! The Scions and the Warrior of Light especially throw away their "friends" and sacrifice them to the Final Days whensoever it's convenient for them to do so. Clearly, Zero can do better.

Also, these people's reasoning for keeping the dopey incarnation of Raha around is moronic. The Ancients are all dead and Garlemald has been done away with in as lazily a way possible. Considering both these factions' ties to Allag, what makes them think we'll ever see the Empire directly referenced again?

how does saying "I don't think 5 people is a significant amount of people" and "to my knowledge at least" imply that his 'answer is 100% correct'? What do you even mean with "since you're so accurate in your answer"? Are you agreeing with him?

I explain.

He started by arguing that 5-6 people is not a significant sample. Soon after, he says that anyone he knows has no complaints about the characters, and that the forum itself is not a good sample.

So I would like to understand on the basis of what he claims or not that: the group that likes the way that Graha is being used is significantly larger than the group that doesn't think the character is being used well.

with respect to "since you're so accurate in your answer" is between commas. If you know how to use them well, you'll see that I'm not saying he's right, but I'm assuming he's confident about it.

well, in this case I must agree with him, since here is a forum for discussions. The problem will be if he does like most people here, and simply runs away when asked.
