10000% this. Please SE!So basically we should all just shove it and look for a new game....great attitude lol
So we just shouldn't get Hrothgar Females that look like sensible Female Counterparts to the males, they should be adorable and humanlike just cause 'popular'
Please SE do the right thing....cater to and give your Hrothgar Players what they want, and not do some lazy BS For 'Popularity'
If you really cared about that, you wouldn't have made Hrothgar in the 1st place. If you make a Beastrace, then make a Beastrace.
₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎
I want this just hope they aren't another Miqote.
I call BS. I already have a character I plan to Fantasia into a fem Hrothgar when they become available (if they are nice), but I have no interest in having a male Hrothgar character.*
I see no reason my desires for what fem Hrothgar should be should count any less than those of people who already play male Hrothgar.
*or male characters generally, as only one of my 12 alts is male, and that alt is a lala so what's the difference?
A lala isnt a Hrothgar...thats the difference XDI call BS. I already have a character I plan to Fantasia into a fem Hrothgar when they become available (if they are nice), but I have no interest in having a male Hrothgar character.*

Whatever you want and desire for Female Hrothgar doesnt matter any less or more then my desires, or other peoples desires. As I have to keep telling Reivaxe, its a Personal Opinion.
Next Year or so...we will see what the Devs decide on.
But deep down...I hope its what I want....bit overall I just hope they look good.
Ok then, i'll answer back to your whole "shove it and look for a new game." attitude : "shut it and just stay a catgirl"I didn't say YOU said anything about Dulia-Chai. "Animal headed Dulia-Chai" is what pops into MY head when someone claims "They're gonna be niche anyway!" as an excuse for why they should be beefed out brick houses. I assume you approve of those Korean Hrothgals given your praise of them and the long fight you had with someone who pointed out that they basically look like the dudes-but-with-boobs. If you like that, that's cool. You can like what you like, I'm not the "like" police.
But thinking that "The race will be niche anyway/ they're not TRYING to make them popular anyway!" is a good reason to make them look objectively "ultra unpopular by conventional standards" by tripling down on the traits that make Femroe the least played thing in this game by a mile and a half? Yeah, nah ... why not have them be Dulia-Chais with animal faces then? I mean, I can't even point to an obese female PC race in an MMO so I can't even say I know for sure what would happen. Perhaps there's tons of people who can't wait to be an obese cat woman, spinning around on a dragoon pole in the middle of LL?
You're right! It shouldn't! If you want to play female Hrothgar, you have every right to present feedback to the devs about how you hope it ends up and what features you wish it had.I call BS. I already have a character I plan to Fantasia into a fem Hrothgar when they become available (if they are nice), but I have no interest in having a male Hrothgar character.*

Us being male Hrothgars shouldn't really have any impact on that, now should it?
Except... there is one thing.
We, more than any of you, know how this race is treated. Not just by the devs, but by the community itself. We know first-hand how the experience of being a Hrothgar is like. There may be some influence caused by our gender, but the overall sentiment remains: we know what the race is like. Female Hrothgar are being designed to be our counterparts. We do have at least that much to stand on: if they're to be our counterparts, and not that of some Au Ra, then it stands to reason that we also have a say in the discussion.
So yes. Male Hrothgar do have a foot in the discussion, extra to that of other races. Simply because we know how the race feels like to play, how people react to it and how the game treats them.
And this may be a sentiment you share with me here, but I'm stating it in the context of "I play this race. I know what you'd be getting into if WE male Hrothgar didn't have priority in being heard when it comes to designing our counterpart": but I don't want Female Hrothgar to have to suffer the same bull that we had to go through. I don't want players who invest into their Female Hrothgar to have to struggle with hairstyles. To have to struggle with no representation. To have to struggle with deaf devs. And to deal with the community who not only justifies all that, but also doubles down by being grossly insulting toward us.
As a Male Hrothgar, I don't want that for our counterpart. I don't wish that on any race, but the fact that it happens so casually to us makes me dread how females will be implemented and received. Because players like you, who want to play female Hrothgar, don't deserve to be dealt a foul hand even before it's in the game. More than what any other race would wish on you. Because to, say, an Elezen, it's "unfortunate" that you'd be in such a position. For us males? It's a repeat of 3 years of constant waiting, patience and disappointment at almost every turn. And whatever happens to you as a female Hrothgar has the dangerous chance of being reflected upon us males, just as much as how I don't want what's happening to us to be reflected onto you.
And if safeguarding our lore, if making sure the design fits us males and doesn't look out of place so that the race remains consistently palatable is too much for you, then I'm sorry. But we don't want criticism to bleed over to us males, and we don't want you to deal with criticism on awkward design. Not on top of what you're already going to face. Not on top of what you would had males not brought the attention to the problems of this race as a whole, and warn Square that the issues males have cannot bounce onto females who are currently being designed, because now is the time to give them a word of caution.

Firstly. You not knowing about the "3/2%" argument is none of my concern. It's a thing that got touted around after April Fool's. It was prevalent in Hrothgar-aimed forums. Whether you were active in them enough to know or not is up to you, but you can verify it for yourself in the three major Hrothgar threads created since 6.1's LL. It's part of how Hrothgars have been treated until now, so when we talk about it, at least now you know. This being a Hrothgar thread, you'd do well to be informed of what happened to our race and why discourse around it usually takes specific turns before pitching in. A lot of the ideas people think we haven't considered have actually already been beaten to the dirt. Do your research, educate yourself. And I quote: "while Hrothgar are still low on the total, they outnumber other races."
pictured: total hroths vs total M viera, EW hroths vs EW F Elezen/M Roe
I did not mention any 2%'s because I still don't know where 2% came from outside seeing it posted here on the forums. Was it from Lucky Bancho? A Famitsu or Reddit poll? Official forums shitposting that became accepted as fact? Who knows. I have also not mentioned any population of being deserving/non deserving of anything solely due to population size, because using that a metric of what we get would end in F miqo'te/au ra exclusive everything. But picking 2 charts and pointing at aspects that suit "outnumbering" in and only in said aspects is quite literally cherry picking.
Secondly. I reiterated the purpose of the image. It was to simply show a singular truth. Hrothgars do not have the lowest number among other choices. Other choices have had better content designed for them. When Hrothgars ASKED for such quality, they were told that they were at the bottom and couldn't get any.
It was to remind everyone that "you are 2% of the playerbase" is no argument. Not only do Hrothgar outnumber Male Viera in total, but at endgame they outnumber a type of Elezen and both types of Roegadyn separately. And that claiming "oh you're just 2%" is disingenuous. You don't tell female Elezen nor any form of Roegadyn "your option amounts to only X percent of the playerbase at endgame, thus you cannot have quality in the stuff made for you", do you?
That was the sentiment I was referring to, that was the sentiment Reivaxe was referring to.
Hrothgars are outnumbered by Roegadyn and Viera themselves collectively. Your image does not add anything whatsoever. You are misunderstanding the purpose my image is meant to serve and saying I'm twisting stuff to fit a narrative. But what narrative would I be trying to twist? What do you think I'm "hiding"?
It's like "is this orange larger than any in the bowl?" -> "Yes, it's larger than THIS one". And you come over saying "You're ignoring all the other oranges in the bowl!"...
Lastly?
I'm not basing my argument on omission. That data does not factor in. I'm fooling no one by showing this. I'm not saying "Hrothgar outnumber Male Viera, so they're higher than Viera or every other race". How is this cherrypicking? Please define it for me. Before you call me dishonest.
Is it because I cropped the image? If so, know it was to make it compact and easier to read. Stretched out images tend to be too small to read, and the graph is LARGE. And I didn't "hide" anything important to what I was proving. Had I included it, it would have changed absolutely nothing. Again, read the orange analogy.

Pretty sure the female Hrothgar will have modified female Roe bodies. Or at least bodies somewhat similar to female Hrothgar in terms of height and muscular build.
The Bozja cutscene showing the wall painting or whatever of the female Hrothgar and the one female Roe just make me think that. So I'd don't think they'll turn out super cute furry waifus, but just noticeably very amazon warrior-like. Being both beautiful and visually imposing at the same time.
So, while they'll more than likely turn out prettier than their male counterparts, they probably won't be any less intimidating in their own way. Though that's just my own opinion. Carry on!
*Runs and hides before the masses start fighting again*
Still hoping for something akin to best girl Khamira.

i find male hrothgar to be rather anime-cartoony in their appearance, so i'm kinda all for female hrothgar to be anime cartoony as well.
