An addendum to that, many high level players will also lower their ilvl on purpose to force CT, which adds to the frustration of seeing it. I think a lot of the complaints about CT would start dropping if the ilvl cheese was dealt with. I despise seeing CT in a full 24 man of high level players. I'm okay with CT if I see that glorious New Player Bonus kick in, since I know the roulette didn't get cheesed for it. But otherwise I have to assume it was cheesed unless a relic questline has been added for the expansion. Look at how many times people had to run CT back for the Resistance Weapons for an example. <_<

I mean that’s another flaw of the roulettes, why is CT so prioritised with other areas, we don’t need CT to be on wonderous trails, we don’t need the repeatable step of the ShB relic to require CT clears

Levelling alt jobs is sort of fair but we dont need even half this amount of incentives to run CT on top of it being the only required alliance raid

It means something right now because of ilvl cheese. If ilvl cheese was eliminated, THEN it would mean nothing. But every time I enter CT, I suddenly see somebody's HP bar drop because they're resetting gear. That's a red flag.

So ok someone can cheese it but what does this has to do with no new player? Someone else could well be leveling a job or had specifically queued for it for other reasons.

It is a mandatory raid series and people have to be able to complete their MSQ, it is required by other quests, some people are level capped and all the other raids are optional ( I am not unlocking other raids until the end of EW on alts and that is my business and I have zero intent of unlocking the Void Ark series raids at all because I don't like them nor the last Nier raid because it hurts my eyes). All in all, there is a broader need for CT. Simple. I have never stripped btw. I think you miss the point of roulettes which is primaily to fill needs.

Besides on my main I regularly get Nier (I quit if it is the last one because despite adjustments it makes me sick) and Ivalice raids when I bother with roulette. Roulette is optional so why not queue for something else? When I want a specific raid to pop, that's what I do. Why take CT off from WT? It is a decent task and it doesn't take forever and leaves time to do other content.

Lol I do unlock other raids, just not when I do MSQ (time management) and not some which make me feel sick or a few (Void Ark- Dun Scaith) which I dislike with a passion. I like the Ivalice raids but I often do not have enough time for things like Orbonne. That is totally my right and how the game was designed. And other raids totally get filled if you bother queuing at normal hours. In any event, all this is kind of moot as I rarely queue for roulette and tend to chose specific raids...maybe you should do the same if you don't like where roulette could lead you. If you queue you will force the roulette to lead you where you want. The bonus is a joke at lvl 90.

Yes people do but do you check your party list cause 9 times out of 10 there will be a 50 level in the party. This argument about ilv cheese is nothing new and really to fix it SE needs to adjust the xp rewarded based on the time the duty takes like they do for Main Story.

Relative to unlocking all the raids that depends on whether or not it's worth it especially on alts. It's not required to unlock them all for Alliance although now different raid tiers are needed so the motivation is there for things like relic, Taratu and other quest lines. I've personally even unlocked the Delta/Sigma/Alpha raids for that reason for which there was absolutely no motivation for me to do so before. I have raid roulette unlocked but rarely run it.
