Like op say, why played that long if the gameplay is ass? Nobody’s forcing you to stay and play the entire endwalker expansion but you chose to lmfao bye o/ May you find other games that is worth it for you looooolWell, I think I'm quitting indefinitely once this sub is up. I can't play an MMO with ass gameplay, sorry. Honestly can't believe there was even a mention of anything about SAM changes in the live letter. It's been a cool ride, at least Endwalker gave me a sense of finality.
I accidentally posted this in the wrong thread, but you gotta be blind if you can't see the gradual degradation of job design. They are nowhere near as engaging. You're right though, nobody forced me to play. The gameplay, believe it or not, was not always ass. I switched from MNK to DRG to DRK to SAM as they got knocked down a peg one by one. SAM was the last job I really enjoyed and as you may have heard, it's been gutted as of 6.1.
I liked the MSQ, I enjoyed my time with EW, but I literally cannot stick around for the MSQ alone as it is. It's a game at the end of the day, not a movie.
Job design is absolutely a facet of gameplay and without a doubt the most important in a game where 99% of content is combat. That being said, let's not do this here. I don't wanna derail the thread any further, already messed up by thinking I was in one sixty seven thousand of the SAM megathreads.
Yeah, it is like swimming, and not getting wet. How can you have one without the other? They are directly correlated.Job design is absolutely a facet of gameplay and without a doubt the most important in a game where 99% of content is combat. That being said, let's not do this here. Job design dictates game-play. Imo, just my opinion.....every job sounds good in theory, but the execution is terrible.
Never understood the "NO MORE JOB" crowd....I am starting to see their point hahaha.

I was super excited for the new content they are giving us, especially these new Criterion dungeons. I want to preface this by saying that pugging savage raids has always been a nightmare for me and just downright depressing, a part of raiding I love is the connection I made with static members and having the consistent support of the same people every week.
The reason I was super excited was because finally we are getting high difficulty content that won't be 8 man groups. I work a lot and my schedule is very unpredictable so having a static that I can run savage content with is quite impossible for me, having 7 other people try to match up with my annoying and constantly changing schedule and have it not interfere with their schedules is ridiculous.
However, having 4 man groups and only having to worry about 3 other people makes it A LOT easier in terms of planning or even doing sudden runs without much warning. I was so excited because I haven't been able to raid in a static in years and I always loved raiding a lot.
But then during the live letter Yoshi P mentions having the new raid tier gear to be strong enough to do the Savage Criterion Dungeons and my heart sank. Finally I was going to be able to do savage content without it being locked behind 7 other people only to find out that it is in fact still locked behind grouping with 7 other people. The dungeon clearly has a lot of similarities to BA and DR Savage and so I was hoping that the gear would either not matter or have a different kind of stats scaling like with Bozja.
Please, on the very off chance that the Dev team sees this comment I beg you to please consider changing this in the future to make it more accessible to those of us who can't schedule 8 man groups for savage raids.
Thing is, there's two difficulties of criterio dungeons. While he called the first normal and the second savage, it seems the normal ones will be savage difficulty, while the savage more like ultimate difficulty. The naming is very confusing, but under those premises it makes sense that the second will require savage gear, as all ultimate content does.
The other mode is savage difficulty and maybe even harder, since you gotta kill all the bosses in a single run and without much chance of prog, plus with very limited resses and trash also being dangerous. Yoshi said, compared to current savage fights, the first boss is like 1.5, the second like 3 and the third like 4, in terms of difficulty, so it's gonna be super spicy.
I'm like you, I wanna do savage but I can't think of committing my time to other 7 people, it's too many, so I'm excited for 4men savage content.
My only let down is I thought the difficultes would equal extreme and savage, rather than directly savage and ultimate, but I know people are happy to have such difficult content too so it's ok.
Glam dresser upgrade are nice. Sanctuary seem okay. Rest are the same old stuffs. Hilderbrand as a relic, oh boy. Yet still no qol changes such controller getting fixes or
UI improvements. 4/10
