More like if anyone dies it's over. Either through a body check mechanic or just because them dying caused a 200k raidwide explosion. So it's basically if the healer dies it's over - seems a lot of pressure to put on a role that few want to do anyway.
Not so much an issue if it's a PF thing - going to be no end of stress in the DF if not.
But anything new is good - considering the lack of any sort of challenging mid-core content.
Ohhhh yes I remember that clearly..I also remember telling you what they did to get banned, not including the fact one of the members of that stream warned the guy not to do it or he could get banned..he did anyway. We learned just three months ago that these people piss and moan about things that don't even affect them on streams and get people temp bans for it. I don't care what spectre they're shaking at this week.
Im sorry that the actual lesson of that incident never sunk in for you..dont show addons you have been told NOT TO USE in an FF 14 content stream.
Lets be blunt here, I have been invited to two statics, and now I have OCE ping that will make it feasible to do, I may actually do so. We will see.

I can't wait for Criterion dungeons. This is the kind of content I've been waiting for a long time, a good middle ground between faceroll content and savage. And despite their repetitive and predictable nature, I always enjoyed dungeons in this game.
zero interest.
I'm not a good player, struggled in savage, and really dislike the elitist mentality that it's going to foster. Especially if there's a timer.
But if y'all wanna do it, be my guest.
Many complaints of "evil toxic elitism" boil down to "the good players won't let me in their group to carry me and I'm not making my own group because playing with other casuals is even more work". Almost every time I see a complaint about "evil elitists" on these forums and they have logs on "that site", they're not just making mistakes and learning, they're borderline griefing their groups, were 100% in the wrong and have the entirely wrong attitude to team based content.
Even WoW had that issue. WoW did have a good number of toxic players, but I did all the content the game had to offer by simply joining chill groups, practice groups, playing with guild, playing with friends and most importantly, doing my best to contribute if I ever did join PF. I didn't force my way into groups way over my ability, or whine that raider IO groups existed. I just joined the many like-minded people and had a lot of fun.
Besides, in ff14 all mention of dps is banned along with verbal harassment and abuse over performance. Every time a discussion is brought up about harder content or meters or performance tools or whatever else, it's like half the playerbase forgets we have an extremely strict ToS that will hammer down on any rare isolated cases of legitimate toxicity.
There has never been bad cases of toxicity that outright blocks content in ff14. Everything is accessible if you want it and rude behavior is ban hammered. The "this thing will cause toxicity!" is just baseless scaremongering.
One more to the list: never enter and/or actively avoids said content but thinking they know better about what was actually going on in the playing field.Almost every time I see a complaint about "evil elitists" on these forums and they have logs on "that site", they're not just making mistakes and learning, they're borderline griefing their groups, were 100% in the wrong and have the entirely wrong attitude to team based content.
Honestly dude I wish we had more toxic elitists instead of toxic casuals. Tired of downright being berated because I find enjoyment in something other than casual play--which I do find enjoyment in by the way!
Can't hardly have one hype thread about something new and possibly challenging without "oh hope those TOXIC RAIDERS don't get even more elitist, just look at my decades of experience in wow"
I've been playing XIV since 2013. I've seen more toxic casualism in response to perceived toxic elitism than I've ever seen toxic elitism. But I'm sure the retort will be "my anecdotes mean more than yours because of a reason I've come up with." It's a song and dance I've watched, sang, and danced for near a decade now and I realize it won't stop.
But man, really makes me wish sometimes.
Especially when it concerns PF.
It's great to see someone never touching Ex/ Savage going on about how PF is a cesspool of toxicity where people demand logs to let you even join and such - and yet the reality of no-lifing PF for an entire expansion before and during unlock and partly progging another tier in PF is that people make a group, list their strats in the comment, people join, someone posts a macro, people claim their positions and maybe ask a question or two about how to handle a mechanic and then you pull.
You'll probably wipe a couple of times, someone makes a joke about warm up or "we almost had it, good prog" if someone had to insta-wipe it and unless you have a party full of leechers that got carried through their first kill, you'll most likely kill it sooner or later. If you have leechers, chances are that they will be the ones complaining about someone messing up or lack of dps after an enrage wipe.
9 times out of 10 it was the person being the problem that complained about the group not being good enough and ended up leaving, getting replaced, rinse and epeat.
PF has its issues, especially the wildly varying quality of players.
But this apparent rampant toxicity with everyone and their cat flaming you for logs, gear, "not super optimized gameplay" is a boogeyman made up by people that never even touched endgame content. Stating it over and over again doesn't make a baseless assumption into a fact.
It's just starting to sound like some people want to play the victim at all costs and flag everything remotely difficult as fostering toxicity and elitist behaviour before it even released by using examples of content they don't even touch and can't know firsthand what's going on there and ignoring the ToS on top of that. And this is why I will continue to dismiss the claims of "everyone will lord it over others and flame them and laugh at you for not even doing it!!".

I dont remember anyone saying that. Do you? Many complaints of "evil toxic elitism" boil down to "the good players won't let me in their group to carry me and I'm not making my own group because playing with other casuals is even more work".
Did? They still do and lots of them....a few days before I finally turned my back on Blizzard forever, I did a 15 key. We hit a bad patch...lets just say that the language used by the tank was obscene, foaming at the mouth rage. As I said, over an eight year period I have personally witnessed what WOW has become..after Cata it was all downhill.e.
But yeah, you didnt see it so it didnt happen..
Rightttttt......

I've played WoW for 18 years. 18 FRIGGIN YEARS.
This mentality has been there since day 1 to some degree. Don't lie to yourself and say it didn't.
