Given the massive amount of proof that such issues did and do still exist in M plus content, given the MASSIVE exodus over the last two years ( I defy you to find where the term "wow refugee" has EVER been used prior to this ), Id say that no one is 'fearmongering" over what could ( and hopefully doesnt ) happen. i do in fact have faith in this community, i do in fact have faith that we will attend to the better angels of our nature.. Rather it's both fearmongers and those who think it'll be some hardcore l33t experience that are to blame IMO.
Many have been asking for harder content, and I hope that this is what they have been waiting for and they enjoy it for all they wish.
However:
You cannot deny or handwave away the effect that the m plus mentality has had on the WOW community as a whole. To cite that as a possible concern with how this content may or may not have the same effect is again not 'fearmongering", more to the fact one is more of a fool to not pay attention to patterns that can and do repeat themselves. I will put this as bluntly as I can: that mentality and the change in community behaviour is a huge factor as to why they have lost players in DROVES. I have been in touch with friends on my old OCE servers, there are now calls to merge ALL the OCE servers together owing to low population across the board,
Blizzard is connecting dozens of realms for the very same reason. Some of the BIGGEST servers are now resembling ghost towns.
Does THAT sound like a growing playerbase to you?
They can, and they do, they continue to so so...botting is an issue that is not unique to ANY MMO. Its a problem across the board, that sadly does not admit to an easy or one size fits all solutionShame they aren't active whatsoever when it comes to the plethora of botting but if little Timmy has their feelings hurt
if you have any ideas or suggestions as to how the system can be improved, or solutions to deal with the problem more efficiently or effectively...post them here. Im sure the SE devs would love the feedback.
