So I must believe that you can explain me better about the expansion's history. For example: Who is Zoldiark after all? How did Hydaelin imprison the Zoldiark on the moon? Why didn't Hydaelin save Hyth and Emet from being wiped out? Why does a blue meteion appear among the black meteions asking them to stop, and she is never mentioned again? What happened to the person who was turning in Foundation? Why did Hydaelin make the Ascians unsundered? After all, does Emet like Hydaelin or not? Why Hydaelin never told us anything about Meteion? What is "hear feel think" anyway? How many hours of gameplay did I have, and how many hours of cutscenes did I have?

You may have loved the expansion, but it has flaws. Holes in the story (even the scions act weird), timing error (in the midst of the chaos, they thought it was a good idea to add cute and funny scenes), failure to finalize the content (LL is full of questions about the lore that they said they were ending in 6.0). For real? This expansion looks like it was written by 2 people, one wanted to make the story about the end of time, and the other about how cute loporrits are

That you dont get, or fail to see, why that scene was so important..and so emotional, makes me again wonder if you didnt use a story skip. if you hadnt, then you'd know who Moenbryda was , why she was so important to Urianger.

As for the rest, i restate that i am stunned that someone who played from ARR to Endwalker asked me who Zodiark was??? And to ask me why Hythlodaeus wasnt sundered? Had you watched the cutscenes in Shadowbringers AND Endwalker............you'd already know the answer to that. Same for Emet - selch.

FFXIV isn't even remotely the same game as WoW I really wish people would stop comparing them so much and looking at what WoW did wrong ( or right ).
They already tried making FFXIV more of a WoW style MMO back in ARR and they intentionally strayed away from that with every expansion.
FFXIV is just its own thing now.

A lot of the issues FFXIV has are issues that don't exist in WoW because the content doesn't even exist altogether, the same can be said the other way around too.
And quite frankly a lot of the issues are also MMO issues not FFXIV issues like Job balance in PvP.
Please tell me what MMO has balanced PvP, you can't because they don't actually exist.

I really don't see others being told to quit when they're giving feedback like an actual adult, what I am seeing is people getting exhausted by the needlessly excessive levels of negativity, toxicity and immaturity.
People that are just voicing concerns in a calm and reasonable manner I don't think are being told that, these issues aren't exactly unknown and controversial.
At some point tho it becomes extremely frustrating to have to listen to the same narrative that because the housing system has issues the game is dying which is just complete and utter bs.
With the housing thing you had people demanding for heads to roll and being armchair programmers, when they ended up being totally wrong about what the issue was they never admitted to their mistake.
They just kept going.

I think that the devs also agree with a lot of the feedback and know that the issues exist but they're not omnipotent a lot of it is simply out of their hands they can't just press a button and suddenly everything is solved.
Even with the whole Viera and Hrothgar hat situation there are issues they have to deal with that modders don't server side and they're working on a crap ton of things at the same time, officially implementing something and modding something aren't the same thing.

People also have a tendency to hyperfocus on everything that's wrong and give no credit to what is good and it becomes exhausting, I imagine especially for the devs.
It's like a discussion I saw earlier about DNC and why people aren't talking about them on the forums and it's because there really isn't much if anything to complain about with DNC while other Jobs have at least some minor quality of life issue that people can go ballistic and rant about for months on end.
People don't talk about how much better the voice acting, animation and directing ( camera work etc ) has gotten, instead you get people talking about how doom is upon us because they didn't like the time travel angle.
Or about how incredible the new Ultimate is, sure it's for a smaller part of the community not everyone will do that but the same can be said about housing.

Or about how awesome RPR is, people have already forgotten the hype and how well-designed they said it was and how well-received it was.
Even tho RPR is actually quite simple and more in line with what they're doing with the Jobs currently.
I don't like simplification of Jobs but it feels like double-speak to me.
People want one thing today then complain about it tomorrow.

Tbh as much as I personally dislike it, simplification of Jobs probably is a positive as far as playerbase size goes.
Most people don't want super complex Jobs I think that's the sad truth.

The grand finale of the story we've been doing for years is a huge fanservice for Emet, a bunch of cute scenes, the scions dying again, and a boss we've never heard of. Seriously, congratulations to whoever managed to cry with this fairy tale, you made whoever wrote this very happy, since there were scenes that said "please cry here".

It was supposed to end the story of Hydaelin and Zoldiark, but in the end, Hydaelin seemed like a stupid lunatic, and Zoldiark just a puppet. We don't even get to see his real personality.

Didn't anyone tell the sound team that a song with lyrics is NEVER used in an MMORPG map? How many years have they been making MMORPGs to make such a grotesque mistake?

Three years of promising to fix races from the past expansion, and they came with wigs and mega foreheads.

A huge wave of bots roam the servers. I can no longer sell anything on the market board, as the price simply drops by half on the same day. But their priority is to ban streamers who are using mods.

Bugs will happen in every game, but all things considered we've been extremely lucky and fortunate with it.

But again, something negative happens and people HYPER focus on it and takes it to 11 and acts like it's literally the worstestest thingie ever happen.

Amazing how a little under a year ago I thought it was mostly the playerbase to be the death of this game. Be it under different circumstances and for a slightly different reason.

This is exactly one of the things that I think will be the slow death of the community. Not because the devs suck or that the game is bad, but because the people that play went too far with how they perceive some pixels that look like words on their screen is attacking their sensibilities and then being rewarded for their behavior by some white-knight circklej hellbent on gaslighting people on a internet messageboard that are sharing their (negative) personal experiences and encounters they have in the game with other players. And because the players are the issue, I am very doubtful this will change or be 'fixed'.
