Did all you WoW people like take a time machine from 2008 when it was still relevant
At its peak, World of Warcraft had ten million active players. Though it has since been on a sharp and steady decline it has yet to truly 'die' and will likely continue to be relevant in some form. There's a lot that Square Enix could learn not only from the disaster that was FFXIV's 1.0 era but the rise and fall of WoW. I'm not convinced that they will, though.
It's funny that a joke amongst my friends is that we're a LL away from hearing "You think you do, but you don't."
They are very much leaning into implications that they know better than us, especially with job changes and how they bend over backwards to rationalize bad changes that no one wanted. I can’t believe how far the team fell where now they seem out of touch and proud.
And look at how many of those players left after seeing what little content 14 has to offer. Endwalker has seen one of the biggest declines in history post expansjon release lol.

FFXIV doesn't have "little" content. It just doesn't gate players behind a multiple month long grind to complete it.

People act like constructive criticism doesn't exist.
It's truly a labor of love for a player to sit there and write out the issues they find, breaking them down and explaining why that player feels they are issues and then proceeding to offer detailed suggestions for fixing said issue. For another player to simply throw all of that away without any consideration is cruel, selfish and immature.

A lot of feedback isn't constructive tho, and trends towards dev bashing and "just make it better"People act like constructive criticism doesn't exist.
