(I've played both male and female character, but they don't change what I am, I just choose them because I like the way they look.

That's a strawman take. In that case, the thing people are asking for already exists in the form of male and female pronouns, and trans people can simply pick the identity that they feel suits them. But that isnt the issue. People are asking for devs to retroactively change all dialogue in game, in order to facilitate a 3rd option that only 0.01% of people care about anyway. Which is pretty arrogant if you ask me. We got actually unfinished races (viera/hroth) and people are like "oh no, the game isn't willing to address me by the pronoun i picked up in university last year"
