Male uses pronouns he/him and female uses she/her.

A option to chose the pronouns no matter the gender of the char could probably help the most people without causing high costs.

Lazy attempts at shaming a marginalized people for not being the version of the same people or acting the way you feel those ppl should (a very prominent issue in the community already), aside. This is a lot of work for very little payout on a community that is so miniscule that the only reason we even know they exist is because they are extremely loud. Not everything has to pander, and frankly retrofitting something like this into an already decade long game for a handful of very loud ppl, is exactly that. I would rather have new characters or even games made with LGBTQ characters or gender options from the get go rather than forcing them in and taking away from the rest of the game. I would feel the same about suddenly having to chose your sexuality in character creation all the sudden. It's frankly a bit insulting if the company is doing absolutely nothing else internally or pushing for any sort of social change otherwise.

To change this in other language versions would be terrible and take so long, especially if they took age into consideration. Do you know how many ways Japanese have to refer to a woman? Older woman, younger woman, all comparative to the age of the person being spoken to. I think adding all those additional bits to the programming would be difficult? Plus, the idea of a woman referring to herself as 'him' is almost unheard of in JPN culture, unlike US.

Gatekeeping isn't always a bad thing, I think we should gatekeep these ridiculous reaches when it comes to pronouns it's cringe and it just turns real issues into a complete joke that no one takes seriously.

I mean there's an addon that fixes this problem so you all saying it'd take a lot of work are just being corporate simps lol. IMO I don't think its a necessity but its not a really hard to do implementation... I just think a japanese corporation wouldn't care enough.
