Why would other characters automatically know your character's preferred pronoun? On top of the absolutely insane amount of work, it'd also make little sense @x@

Just put it in your search info? Tbh I just don't see where they would make pronouns visible to see for everyone lol
This has been asked before. We dont want them to spend time and resources on this over new or improving other aspect of old content. As other said you can put it on your search info.
i dont care if other players can see my pronouns. I want the npcs to use my pronouns in dialogue as if we had, at some point, had a discussion about my pronouns and everyone has decided to be a respectful person and acknowledge that.
Why in this world setting would any npc feel they need to know? Or to have a discussion? We are here to save the world with the help of friends. Outside the maincast and some side character most have no personal connection with us. Just that guy/gal saving the day.
I feel like too many people want unneeded rl stuff inserted into a VIDEOGAME.
I do think this is a fair thing to ask for, and like you said this would be a lot of work.
I would have several questions however. Would pronoun information be publicly presented like how gender presently is on the lodestone? With the amount of people not on board with it in this thread, I think information like that should be kept private.
Additionally alongside old voiced scenes and 10 years of dialogue differences, a decision like this would have to be carried over to at the very least the German, French, and Japanese languages (China and Korea by extension but I cannot imagine pronoun support in those versions of the game). I do not know enough about the forms of gender expression in those languages for how many options could realistically be supported. For voice acting purposes, I feel 3 takes of a line for pronoun differentiation is probably the most that could be reasonably expected.
I could see custom pronouns for text only, but anything verbal I could see be alienating to anyone falling outside of he/she/they.
I just refer to everyone "they / them", or "It" if one person.
Your character is not you. The game gives you two gender choices, pick one and play it. Whatever your choice, it's the character's identity, not yours.
(I've played both male and female character, but they don't change what I am, I just choose them because I like the way they look.

Before people go all OMG 3rd PArty just chill out and as long as you don't advertise it you'll be fine.
The mod makes it set that regardless what gender you are...people will refer to you with whatever gender or pronoun you want.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
Well, there you have it. The community is once again providing a little thing for people who want it that square will never do because they have more important objectives. The same communuity that is now under fire by ingrates who are becoming such a dunnin kruger effect example that its hilarious. You think they get it yet, that this is all most mods really are? Little things that are nice and useful.
