    To add to this, I don't think people realize just how much incentive the crystal system really gives me as a potential pvp player. I've never hit PVP as hard as I have this mode and partially it's because inbetween the big rewards I can use the crystals on more glam options, AND I'm getting wolf marks at the same time.

    Most of the time my FC used PVP/Frontlines just to help level alts, now it's a game mode with a "track" to go on that includes glams/frames/etc. This adds the tail to the mode that it needed to stay alive because I can clearly see what my next milestone is and the matches are fast to get into and usually fast to get out of.

    I treat it like a battle equivalent to Golden Saucer where I'm hopping into a game to see if I can get to the next crystal pack to get that up res'd MCH coat or buy the allagan gear I missed.

    While incentive shouldn't be the only thing that warrants people playing a game mode, given that the only "fast" way to do pvp before was Frontlines which sometimes feels like a complete slog, a fast new mode with both normal rewards and specialized rewards (marks/Crystals) portraits to show off, gear to show off, and genuinely interesting takes on the PvE Formula creates a great foundation moving forward for the mode. I just have to hope they don't leave it to die.

    I'm really hoping they capitalize on this momentum and/or have "mini letters" from like the pvp dev team or with Yoshi-P to discuss direction PVP is taking and treat it like a serious mode. I know that's pie in the sky probably but as someone who's never given a single inkling of a care about pvp, I'd be super bummed if the breath of fresh air it finally got was snuffed out a few weeks later.

    I think all players should be given a fair chance to earn rewards of old, i have seen some people in this thread against it but its all the same "we should get to keep them because artifical rarity is funny" like you will not lose what you earned and you still had it way earlier than anybody else so what is the problem?

    And to those who are against new players getting rewards of old all i have to say is how many of the people who owns those rewards have either 1: forgot that they even had them/not used them in years. 2: gotten their account suspended. 3: stopped playing the game entirely.

    Obviously i don't know the number of players but im very certian there are a decent bunch of people filling the three examples provided above

    After playing the current series for a while now I think my main issue is trophy crystals and how long it takes to get them after 30. Post-30 it's going to take 20k series exp for each repeatable 1k crystal drop? Unless the eventual plan is to just move them to Wolf Marks next season, then that's a pretty grueling prospect for reward attainability - it should really be much less after 30 since that's the only thing you're getting at that point, maybe 5k exp per 1k crystals tops.

    Which is funny because they do this with raiding mounts all the time and nobody cares, but someone proposes doing it with their PvP rewards that most of them probably got through massive Discord match collusion anyway and you get screeching from the rooftops.

    SE is clearly largely against the idea of permanent exclusivity anyway considering how often they rotate content back or otherwise occasionally make things available again like with Garo/Yokai and Irregular Tomestones, so nobody should have any expectations that their precious PvP will be the only one to remain sacred ground.
