    In combat I feel like I have to be the rock in the party, I play white mage btw, and everyone else who plays melee are running around able to shoot off weaponskills and attacking while moving. Maybe this is balanced... but it doesn't feel like it. The video of them showing the new casting system was also very silly. They show the character running around a lot, but in actual combat you wouldn't be running around that much on either mage. It's more beneficial to stay still and move only when necessary, both for mp regeneration and the ability to cast right away, rather than running around and having to stop, wait for server to realize you've stopped or hit "h" (which if you're using controller is about the same amount of time either option), then finally cast a spell. I also detest /facetarget so I don't use it and won't use it.

    You think this annoying on Whm/Blm, try doing this on Pld. The new bosses require a lot of movement. I don't have time to stand still and wait... and then cast for 3sec on top of that. Don't even get me started about kiting ヽ(#`Д´)ノ ︵ ┻━┻

    I thought that video was just to demonstrate how moving will cancel the spell casting... not that someone would actually fight that way (which would be silly).

    I haven't really done much combat since 1.21 went live... and I know I'll just have to get used to it... but in general I agree that the change to MP regeneration only while standing still, and now the inability to move while casting are making things a bit dull.

    i waited for the patch and tried it out.

    can we have the old system back now at least until PvP?
    because i still see no advantage for anyone.

    "i don't mind it" or "it's not that bad" or "lag and bugs make it challenging and thus more fun"
    are not really valid pro arguments.
    ah and neither "but other MMOs have it too!"

    I m not sure if 0.3 sec is the respond time for JP players only or not, but I m pretty sure it take about 1 sec or longer to cancel my spell each time. :/

    make it really a 0.3 sec then I will not mind this at all!

    (Someone should make a video and show Yoshi-P how the lag is on the rest of the world nations)
