Also if a house is freed up you no longer need to deal with relocators or have to glue yourself to a signboard for a plot, just stick your lot in and wait.

It seems the main problem some people have is they cannot take advantage over people who may not be able to commit to the critical moment due to things like work.

Which in return means that much more people will fight over the plots which decreases the chances for each person itself.

Well good luck for every private player wanting a house, it will probably get even harder to just own a small one since FCs will have a much higher chance thanks to being able to bid on more than one house.

Starting to wonder if introducing an aggressive taxation system alongside the current demolition timer would be a good idea? .

House owners already have do pay a tax, its called monthly sub. Unlike other players we cant just take 3 months off without losing our house.

Instead of punishing house owners even more, lets wish for a much better system where neither the demolition timer nor the lottery would be needed...after all SE gets a lot of money through our subs. Maybe its time to push a bit of that into housing. After all they at the same time keep on giving us so many housing items as rewards.

I honestly would have liked something to know how much someone has played for, subbed for, FC has existed without a house, as well as never owned a house in the game before. If you have just had bad luck and your FC has had bad luck you will be able to just finally get a house in any ward. It could even be anywhere I really don't care. I just want my FC to finally be able to do the airships and things, and have FC housing. It would be nice to get the plot we all decided on, but even with a lottery it could be a toss up. I know our luck. If we don't get one for months what is even the point of having those systems locked behind housing in the first place. Can't even craft the higher level xp buffs for those just starting out or leveling. The ones the grand company have are pretty good, but I still want to option to be able to craft the darn things. I have an apartment, but the aetherial wheel is 'not allowed in apartments only houses'. Look Barbara and her ward of houses can keep them all, I do not care, I just want to be able to have access to things I current do not have access too. Hopefully if people are still not getting houses after this change they can finally do some of these things in alternative ways like the island sanctuary.

Wait....wait fc's can put in for more than one house? That is really dumb because now a larger fc with more people and more gil can literally bid on an entire ward. What happened to the one bid per person per fc thing, did they just go back on that. As much as I would love to have a house for my fc I was hoping the botters with 10 alts in their fc at level 5 arcanists would not be able to spam put in for a house so they could resell them as they have been doing. Sure the lotto kind of messes with that a bit, but they will find a way to clog the system still because you can give EVERYONE in your FC the permission to put in for a house. More people in your fc more chances. I know it is hard for the devs to fathom because this is not a problem on the jp servers, but is there anyway we can describe all the ways the new system will be gained and how it has been abused so they could try to understand? My mind is blown by this, what the actual heck are they thinking. Why did they go back on only the leader of the fc could bid on the house?

Not just people... characters. One can make 8 characters per service account, they can all bid.

Thats a global tax, not a housing tax. Housing doesnt cost anything extra on that, hence it doesnt have a tax.

An actual housing tax would on that at least be a good way to sustain the server costs for housing and should allow more plots.

I think you'll find once an FC member has purchased a ticket on a plot, nobody else can purchase one for the FC.

Yoshi specifically addressed this in the last Live Letter. paraphrasing a tiny bit "FC members can all purchase a ticket because we want to reward the bigger FCs, while they could all put entries on different properties it would be wiser to all bid on the same one"

Okay that is obviously flawed, unless, the FC wins the plot, and no Gil is refunded to members who purchased a ticket on that same plot. For example, FC with 512 members, purchases 512 tickets on say, Ward 1 Plot 5 Mist, 50m each ticket.
This I would support as that is a huge amount of Gil lost, because, technically you won the Plot you purchased a ticket for, even though it was a different members ticket that got picked, you still get the Plot you technically lost but won anyway since it'll get added to the FC.

Again, not how it's going to work. All the non-winning bids will be considered a "loss" regardless of affiliation and refunded in full. The system favors big FCs. It's intentional.

They already addressed this. Private owners and FCs will not be bidding on the same plots. Going forward under this new system plots will be marked for FC or for personal, not both that way personal buyers aren't competing against the FCs.
