The Ancients (like Hythlo) would be way more interesting “teammates” than the Scions. I loved that trust dungeon with them.

Zenos is one of, if not the best villain. (He’s more of a rival to me anyway.)

Stormblood was way better than Heavensward.

Y’shtola is not an interesting character.

Hot take: Everyone who treats any single side of the conflict as 100% right and the other as 100% wrong is missing the entire point of the story. With the exception of certain minor antagonists like Asahi or Valens, nobody has ever been pure evil in the game.

I mean, not really. The only time we know of that a character has 1. "Traveled to the past" and 2. "Rewritten history by doing so" was with G'raha. And he never even tried to go back, nor did he ever talk about the possibility of doing so.

For all we know taking the portal back could have worked like Trunks's time machine in DBZ. We could have knocked the past so far off course that our own future will never be possible from their perspective, and still arrived in our own future regardless.

Or they used the Marvel Cinematic Universe's explanation: that a new parallel universe was created when something ni the past changes.

I find that the whole Meteion/dynamis stuff is incredibly far-fetched (even if I like the idea of every other world being screwed, due to real world possibilities of the unknown) and it caused a lot of inconsistencies with lore even during the role quests of this very expansion.

They have fake killed off Y'shtola so many times that if they ever did actually kill her off, I would feel nothing, and she is my favorite scion...
