Anyway, just playing after the patch right now, and it didn't change a thing. I just wish I knew more about cursing in English just to tell SE exactly what I wish to tell them right now.

what sort of curses and too which situations would you like them to apply?

I have a Ryzen 5 5600x(which is 1 year old) and I still have this issue, albeit its not nearly as bad as others. Mine only occurs in the ambient sound, so setting it to 0 is a temporary solution.
Only occurs since 6.0.1. So something went clearly wrong with the sound engine when even I with an up to date PC has problems.
you fix positional audio by putting it at 100% on character and not bound to camera focus btw
at 0% it would be the opposite.
Turns out - for me - the update did nothing.
They haven't even addressed the issue at all in the Patchnotes or the Lodestone updates on the Launcher. They simply said in 6.01 they fixed it and they're going with that narrative. (If they believe hard enough maybe we'll just pretend it's fixed too??)
Since that's a thing, I will now post a new Bug-Report. I've filed on ingame too. If they're still investigating the original one, why isn't the issue on the 'Known Issues' list then?
I am done with the game for the forseeable future. I'll do my best to get the 2 months of upcoming gametime I paid for back, but from what I've read SE is very stingy with that sort of thing. Even though it's on their end and even though it's been over a month.
But I will stay active in this Forum, I will post Bug-Reports bi-weekly or so until it's fixed.
If it's on such a wide variety of PC's and even on Platform there is very little reason in upgrading your PC just to fix ONE game. The odds are: It's not your PCs fault.
This has been the most disappointing Game-(Expansion)-Release for me since the dawn of time. And I was excited for No Mans Sky.
My PC corresponds to recommended technical specifications for this game.
Starting with 6.0, you've introduced changes to audio engine that made game function improperly.
Your technical support fails to provide the solution, as well as you ignore the issue altogether as it is not listed in known issues list of latest changelog.
I find that I was sold a faulty product, your business practices questionable and demand a refund for Shadowbringers expansion.

replying with "I'm done, I'm unsubscribing, I'm this, till that" because they didn't attend to your specific need when you wanted them too is childish and immature. Maybe you should go back to WoW.

Bruh.
No one is forbidding you from upgrading. If you want to upgrade, and have the money to do so, go ahead - I'm planning on it myself. Please report back with your new system specifications and any results. But don't go around telling others it's a guaranteed fix when all of the evidence compiled in this thread suggests otherwise.
Anyway the bug is still present on my end after the patch. It may actually be worse. I stuttered while my character got out of bed - that had never happened before - then I stuttered as I loaded out of the inn room, and then I ran a Trust in the first Endwalker dungeon, which always triggered the stutter for me before. I got less stutter on the first floor than I used to but the second floor was unbelievably bad.
To not even have this recognized as a known issue in the patch notes is beyond insulting and infuriating. I've just cancelled my subscription and will be pursuing a refund for the remaining time I have left on it. Good job torching all the goodwill you built with me over the last year and a half, Squeenix.
Incredible take. They made the game we pay for every month unplayable and we're the ones at fault for complaining?
This doesn't work for everyone, read the thread.

Responding with cancellations is only going to help them out... did you not notice...? they have more people that want to buy the game than the suffiency to succor them. If old players want to take a break, it is only clearing up room for new sales, your 15 dollars isn't even close to a new 60 dollar sale.Bruh.
