Fine, remove all animation and you are simply pressing numbers on a keyboard; RDM has more, period.Giving you a bar doesn't change the fact you're essentially casting the same spell, until a brief melee window, rinse repeat. It's literally the same thing as SMN, only now SMN can get into it's "ultra mode" faster than a RDM, and SMN's skills are all tied to the summons. I don't get how casting different versions of jolt + weaving in ogcds is different from Summon + Summon skil + weaving in ogcds. Atleast there's some diversity in choosing the necessary summon, and all of them have a unique 2 skill. Phoenix has a dot regen that can be thrown on anyone, garuda a dot aoe, ifrit a charge ability. All of this opens the door for them to get even more creative with the summon skills in the future.
Some tweaks I would like to see for the current SMN kit.
Remove the cast time on Garuda's Astral Flow ability. Have it be powered up by how many Gemshine abilities you use before it.
Have Ifrit's Astral Flow abilities cause it's Gemshine ability to be instant cast. So you would Astral Flow > Gemshine Astral Flow Gemshine. Kind of the reverse of Titan.
Have your Aetherflow do a little bit of damage when you use it. Maybe 100 potency or 50.
Have Carby attack when you attack or attack when he comes back to the field. Also make him instant cast.
garuda astral should be an aoe dot instaed of ground aoe , some kind of bleeding effect
carby attacks yes please , remove the carby req from shield / buff
Given how long the shield lasts I actually think it's ok being tied to Carbuncle. After all the little fellow has to do something and only has a couple abilities.

And what are these oGCDs Summoner has to weave? Energy Drain/Siphon? Deathflare? Enkindle Bahamut/Phoenix? Fester/Painflare? All of which are 60 second cooldowns, Deathflare becomes a 120 second cooldown after you get Phoenix, and all 5 cooldowns you'll be double weaving during the first 3 GCDs of Bahamut/Phoenix and then have nothing during Garuda and Ifrit? Compared to RDM where Fleche has a 25 second cooldown, Contre Sixte is 35, Corp and Engagement are 35 and are all used twice as often as SMN cooldowns?
Ah yes, the Garuda DoT aoe so fun (/s) considering it's a gcd and not an ogcd, has a 3 second cast time and is only 150 potency more powerful than an Astral Impulse, that is unless the targets move out of the DoT. Same with the Ifrit dash combo, it's a gcd not an ogcd. Hardly entertaining when you have nothing to weave during the dash or during Garuda's 1.5 gcd spam.
So it'd act like Blue Mage's Surpanakha? Something definitely needs to happen with Garuda's gemshine spam as it shreds your MP for very little pay off with how weak it is.

What happens when you rework a job in this game. You push the people that love the job away and entrance the passerby-ers that will leave the job in a few more weeks to go back their mains only leaving a dead job behind.
A few people will continue to play it but it will be a shell of what it was.
