Actually, I've made absolutely certain to reply to the entirety of your post. I don't cherry-pick. I greatly dislike when people cherry-pick me, so I don't do it to others. You'll notice I took care to reply to your entire post. Did it the first time I posted, too. You're repeating yourself because people are contradicting what you are saying, and instead of taking what they're saying and restating, you've ended up in a position where your stance isn't all that strong. You keep talking about procurement and how easy it is, but your entire solution to the issue is just to throw money at it; which is, as you can probably guess at this point, incredibly entitled. You're demanding they spend money without any personal knowledge as to their actual budget or efforts. It doesn't satisfy you, and you're not happy. You offer no other solutions, you just tell them it's unacceptable. I'm not sure about you, but if someone tells me that something out of my control is unacceptable and I have done my best to alleviate it, that person telling me it wasn't good enough doesn't make me want to do anything faster. It doesn't help anything, and I'd really like to hope you understand that.
Do I enjoy long queues? I have no strong feelings either way. I have a lot of things I can do while waiting for the queue to go down - Phasmo has an update out that I'm eager to play, I have plenty of community and role-play things to update while I'm waiting, I've got a really fluffy cat that likes to be brushed and cuddled, or I can just mellow and watch some streams for games that interest me outside of my MMO experience. I do the exact same things that I would be doing if I was standing in line anywhere else - I can't avoid the line, but I can entertain myself while I'm in it. As it is? I got free game time while sitting in line with everyone else. As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't necessary but quite nice, and I'll enjoy those days when I can play. If there's more days? Cool. I've been in queues more than I've been able to play, but I've greatly enjoyed what I've done so far. It's been very fun, for me, to listen to others. They're excited, and I'll be able to share in that excitement soon.
I'm glad you're able to play the game, and hope you enjoy it, though I'm certainly not blind to you responding to others in the thread in spite of you getting in. You don't need to make an excuse as to why you don't wish to engage with me; you are responding to shorter posts that are similar to mine, and those that are long but defend your point of view. I'm well aware I'm wordy, but I like to make sure I'm clear.I am honestly trying to have a discussion with you, but this is too much. Im am actually able to log into FF14 for once, but not going to read all this. My apologies.
I didn't lie, nor did I twist anything. Again, you are claiming something is unacceptable. This something is something that you have no control over. You offer no solutions other than to throw money that isn't yours to throw at a problem that is greater than your playtime. You do sound spoiled, yes. You also show a base lack of empathy; things happen. Queues happen (in fact, there's always a tiny queue of 30 or so on my server at primetime, not counting the current launch situation), crashes happen, sometimes things just happen.I did catch the I'm not being respectful in past posts. I give respect to people who give me respect. When people lie and try to twist my OP into some delusional spoiled brat entitled nerdrage, I'm going on the defensive. Simple as that. I start every conversation with respect. If someone starts off insulting me, all bets are off for a respectful manner goes out the window. Im also not "name calling," im describing their behavior.
I'd be upset if these things were happening and we were getting radio silence, sure. We aren't, however. They've been very transparent and informational. The servers are not an option at this moment. The shortage no longer matters - it is too late to get those servers in and set up. So, they are doing what they can and what is in their power to do. To me, that is very acceptable.
