Right now as it stands people are paying for a service they are not getting. The 1 month free time thing is obviously going to happen so just get it over with already.
Yes, people are paying for a service right now they're not getting. But simultaneously, people are responsible for their governments causing the global supply damage. Private companies aren't miracle workers. People expect private companies to function entirely normal, meanwhile, those same people vote for government which makes a private company unable to operate normally in the market.

This is a much bigger issue than a game development studio. This is an issue with consumers themselves empowering bad government, which harms the very same market they demand provides them goods and services. The critical mass of the public needs intellectual enlightenment, and to reign their governments in.

This problem isn't going away until people do have that enlightenment.
