I’ve stopped playing DRK and if all the players dissatisfied with DRK on this forum stop playing as well maybe they will listen.

here is the thing, we cannot communicate on the forums because the mods there are going to close it and tell us to go to the english forums. The JP have a way better moderation then the english forum. The only time they will come to this forum is if we are talking about leaks

That's right. They will only act if the data reflects that the players are not playing or leveling DRK.

The problem is that they are going to tie that to some achievement where as you get some mount or some glamour where you have to max disciples of war and magic. And you know people are going to do it for that achievement

To clarify, I was not suggesting that sqex ignores na/eu players that google magic their way to commenting on jp forums. Just that they only care about jp player feedback to the exclusion of everyone elses.

Oh we understand that but we also understand that Dark Knight as a whole since Heavensward is royally screwed over.

If a PLD cries they see changes, if a Warrior so much as makes a whimper things get changed, Goonbreaker sound effect complaints? Changed.

Dark Knight though? Whole lotta nada.

Overall over the years Dark Knight gave everyone everything that made DRK unique save for TBN which they pretty much gave away in EW. Only thing they really have is TBN shield breaks for a free oGCD which the other Tanks have mechanics that do not rely on shield breaks at all to pull out their stuff.

And a big dealbreaker to many DRK's is the glaring issues with Living Dead that require heavy healer comms to give the full 10+ seconds on invuln as opposed to GNB/WAR/PLD having largely maximum duration invulns(between 8s-10s) and needing very little comms with their healer of any. And a mistake of healing too late costs the DRK it's life. Meanwhile PLD can negate damage whenever also Clemency, GNB has some sustain in Aurora and Warrior has so much sustain they don't need a healer in some cases.

Dark Knight has zippity doo dah outside of Souleater and AD.

Which AD back in Stormblood was spammable for 15 seconds for mass pull god mode. And before that dodge tank status in HW with DADD+DADP. Was damn amazing. Heavensward was the shit.

Probably still going to be quite an obvious message if a majority of people drop DrK, like a hot potato, outside of achievement grinding.

You forget that just getting them to 90 could be hailed as a lasting love for the job and another roaring iteration success.

It won't be. Remember, they also look at endgame raiding. If DRK is used very little in endgame raiding, that's a clear cut indicator to them that they have a problem. And it's very likely DRK WON'T be used in endgame raiding, considering all the other tanks got even better and DRK...did not. Just to be sure, I suggest nobody here do raids on a DRK. Take any other class, but don't use DRK. That's the only thing we can really do to get their attention.

And the JP fanbase will still most likely love DRK as if you go by the numbers TBN + oblation is very strong and will obviously function within a 2-5% difference between the other tanks. JP just cares about efficiency more than "flavor" which is okay too but that just shows the cultural difference between the regions and the influence it has on the devs. DRK will still considered a success in the eyes of the devs, going forward. If they do read this I only hope they add the 4.0 haste buff back into blood weapon so its easier to fit five gcds in that 10 sec window. However, I find it to be a funny coincidence that DRK is very much like the manga that inspired it. Fanbase is split between old and new design a.k.a.

Berserk 1997 = DRK 3.0-4.0 (slow methodical jank)
Berserk 2016 = DRK 5.0-6.0 (flippy dippy clang)

The problem is, if you haven't noticed, here in the tank forums we're a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the playerbase. Bad enough the OF already has a bad reputation amongst the playerbase at large. >_>

That's because the OF are poorly moderated. People come here at the expense of seeking drama and validation with the like function. So much so that I was baffled any moderation took place within this thread on the account of ... you know what.
