Even giving DRK something like Machinist has with their Automaton Queen would be a huge leap forward, although I would personally prefer something more unique.
    Every time I use that Living Shadow skill, while busy fighting the boss, adds, mobs, I can see out the corner of my eye the obnoxiously lengthy stretching and posing the Living Shadow does. "Hey what the hell are you doing? This isn't a modeling shoot, hurry the hell up".

    The fighting continues and I'm looking around and finally see Living Shadow is kind of moving to the boss/adds/mobs "Hey hey this isn't a catwalk, move faster, I'm getting beat up here, Move Your Ass"

    I know that eventually Living Shadow helps out instead of posing for photos and selfies trying to look fabulous and all, but my God, hurry the ---- up.

    curious how they ruined GNB?
    Was it continuation comboing off of burst strike? 3 soils and the 2 soil spender? heart of cardboardium? 2 charges for aurora? Seems pretty solid improvements to an already solid base to me.

    It's not like DRK where it's just a hollow mold shaped to fit someone else's idea of a core, and just gets random bits thrown and glued on to it to make it presentable.

    The dps buff now does not align properly, it needs an extra gcd worth of time added to its duration. Otherwise no complaints for GNB.

    Wasnt DRK positive that it had the TBN which was very strong mitigation to MT? So now that they give strong mitigation to every other tank at low CDs -- what does DRK even do that makes it worth playing over other tank jobs?

    This is the exact reason I dislike homogenization. DRK had only a few things going for it -- and now that those things have been changed/added to other tanking jobs, DRK essentially is left in a state where its weaker by default due to no expansive areas of the kit.

    Like honestly, whats the point of this job moving forward?

    Shadowbringer is a really dull ability - it looks cool, but it's ANOTHER line aoe, and giving us two charges without any interaction with the rest of the kit is dull as hell.

    It would have been fun if it was something you built up towards by using Blood abilities.

    For instance, 4 uses of Bloodspiller/Quietus grants a charge of Shadowbringer, and Living Shadow immediately grants a charge of Shadowbringer. You can still hold up to two charges to avoid overflowing. This would help make Living Shadow feel more impactful as well, if it unlocked your strongest hitting move faster than the other Blood abilities.

    It also would have been really changed the feel of the class if Blood Weapon was reduced to a 40s cooldown. They could drop the blood potency down to 5 per hit, and make up for the difference in blood per 120s by adding blood gains to one of DRK's many other fine oGCDs.

    Oblation also just feels stale. DRK could have really done with a new option for healing itself, and instead it got this. Dark Mind should have become the defense you can apply to others and Oblation should have been a heal.

    Welcome to the life of DRK. This is actually the 2nd time this has happened. The first time we lost Reprisal, Anticipation (formerly Dark Dance in HW and was removed into ShB) and Low Blow, which originally belonged to DRK in HW. They were stripped from us along with a lot of our kit's synergy to give them to PLD and WAR who didn't really need them in SB. It's what led to the unholy mess that was SB's version of DRK.

    It really isn't or shouldn't be that much trouble for devs to think of user friendly, quality of life changes to make players happy.

    Blood Weapon could've easily been incorporated with Shadowbringer skill to make the Blood/Mana restore effect more user friendly AND cut down on extra buttons.

    Suggestion: Level 90 Shadowbringer= Upgrades Blood Weapon to Shadowbringer, 2 Charges of Line or AOE attack OGCD, 60 seconds CD, usable under effect of darkside or mana < 3000. Each use of Shadowbringer Restores 25 Blood/1500-3000 Mana.

    Now players don't have to worry about hitting 4/5 whatever GCDs or asking for 4,5 whatever charges to Blood Weapon to make optimal use out of restoring Blood/Mana etc, DONE. I'm low on Mana, low on Blood, Can't use TBN because I blew my Mana on Flood skills by accident/mad button mashing? No worries, Shadowbringer Time! Enjoy and Blast Away.

    At least this way players won't have to keybind another skill and can continue using current hotbar layouts and this interacts with the Mana/Blood resource mechanic in a positive way so it feels like it's part of the kit rotation. Hell, this sounds more fun.

    Welcome to a lot of the ability designs, style over substance is the name of the game.

    Who needs actually coherrent design when you can slap some sparkly effects on what is another "deals x potency" fire and forget oGCD and sell more expansion copies to people who are happy with the depth of a puddle?

    If you do not communicate in Japanese forums or have a following they do not care.

    If there is not a shift in the in-game metrics they will not care.

    Yoshi straight up lied about player feedback on DRK.

    I’ve stopped playing DRK and if all the players dissatisfied with DRK on this forum stop playing as well maybe they will listen.
