Nearly all of these are outlined in earlier posts in this thread (one of the things I hate about this discussion is the same arguments get hashed over and over again)
Improved loading times and performance for lower end computers. Less models and textures equals less RAM demands.
Easier identification of others jobs. Once you remove this problem it gets rid of the excuse that jobs need identifiable and restricted sets so it creates the case that glamours should be free for all and not class/job restricted.
Customizable experiences for those who wish to enjoy the story without their cutscenes and world being full of clowns, half naked people, and color clashing nightmares allowing more engagement with the story and your character.
The idea we'd go from "please let me normalize other PCs on my screen" to "sharia law enforcement" (yeah you're not being subtle) is again an incredibly hyperbolic slippery slope. They allowed both genders to marry whomever in the game, we are not asking for a feature to marry our minions now.
Most people in this thread DO agree it's not NEEDED (though keep in mind this forum is a % of a % of the game population) . But it would be nice. Ignoring everyone however who would like it is just being closed minded because you don't personally care about it.
I can and I will. But I support this idea. Again it's not needed and the game can live without it. Never said any different. However just because we could do without something in the past doesn't follow that we shouldn't ever want more or ask for more. You are literally arguing with the boomer mentality (I should know, those were my parents) of "in my day we managed yadda yadda and we were fine!", and that argument is thick-headed as all get out.
Yes but not ALL the problems. Which is what you said. That they need to fix everything before adding ANYTHING new. Let me quote you to show:
But quite provably SE continues to both solve issues and add new things at the same time. This is what a live game service is about. Add new things and work on old problems and slowly improve the game while introducing new content.
It's absolute head-in-the-ground blindness to deny this.
So first and foremost TALKING about a new feature shouldn't be discouraged and arguing that they haven't solved blahblah yet so we shouldn't even consider it is one of the weakest arguments ever.
If you don't like the idea that's fine. Vote no and sleep well in the knowledge that the chances of this being implemented anytime soon let alone ever are likely low. I also will continue to play the game, feature or no, and enjoy it. But like someone who wishes that someday we could have an option to ask for an uber driver who won't try to talk to us, I can continue to discuss it and would like to do so without someone raving about absolute nonsense overblown fearmongering and ignorance about what's actually entailed in making it happen.
