Why does the bust slider stop at 100%?


Not sure if all of y'all are being disingenuous or are truly uninformed. Often times UI mods do more than just alter the appearance of the HUD, they also add additional features. If it was purely cosmetic, then no one would care and certainly no one would be worried about being excluded from any content for not having the mods installed. As I said, I'm on console so I don't use any mods nor do I spend much time investigating them, but even I... through my casual consumption of FFXIV related content on YT, discord, and other forums have caught wind of some of what some consider problematic features of some of the popular UI mods.

Yeah after going a few pages without replying, it's obvious some of the posters here, despite showing as having been here years longer than me, have absolutely no idea what is going on with the very game they are posting in the forums of. But the thread is made, the feedback is given, and past experience in other games assures me I am in the right.

It's also clear the title of the thread was poorly chosen. I should have said "third party addons" instead of just ui modifications.

Some key takeaways from this thread, people keep asking "how does it effect you?"

Because it puts those who can't use third party programs, or heaven forbid, those who prefer not to break the rules they agreed to do, at a significant disadvantage. No, rearanging and recoloring health bars in and of itself isn't a big deal. But the massive suite of plugins for the game that are readily and easily available in a popular single download, is disturbing. They do a LOT more than make your bars different.

It seems like using these programs used to be frowned upon and hidden but now streamers flaunt them daily and really throwing it in the face of those who obey the rules that they agreed to. If you really care about these addons, you should really care about this as they are just drawing attention to them. They used to try to hide it.

Of note, Asmongold doesn't use any. He has made it very clear he wants to 100% obey all the rules because he knows what will happen if he doesn't, just a single time on his stream.
