Stop the WoWificaton (ui mods)

UI Changes and Addons are just silly, and 100% unnecessary in ANY of FFXIV's Content. All they will serve to do, is add to a, "Elitist", mindset and solidifying certain jobs in the, "Muh META", mindset. Leaving those who, don't use them, or don't play X Job to make their own groups, which as the, "Elitist, and Muh META." mindset grows, so wont the communities opinion on certain jobs, and those people who choose to play them.

Totally not looking forward into getting, pushed, into using Addons and different UIs, like I was in WoW.

Well if the community picks to do that. You just got to adapt. The truth is though, we got a huge part of the community that can't use addons, so it would be silly if the community leans to it.


But lets be real here, this game is not really the type of game that this is a issue with. And these addons that make it more fun to play certain classes, or just makes things a little less tedious. Not the end of the world. Like I said before when the content gets balanced around them. That is when you can take up arms about it.

Am well aware of their don't ask don't tell policy. Point of the thread is that it's finally gotten too popular and gone too far and something needs to change.

Nothing is going to change dude. Their stance is still the "dont harrass" or you'll get the boot.

The content will never be balanced around them as they are against the ToS. If SE does catch wind of players harassing/excluding others for a lack of addons you better believe there will be a response from the company.

Considering how quickly they responded to people using those waymark bots (Namely, the variants that would specifically detect where the safe zones during certain Perfect Alexander mechanics were and mark them, not simply place phase-specific waymarks faster) to cheese certain mechanics in TEA, they evidently are paying some attention to the sorts of add-ons people are using.

I imagine others are simply impossible for them to actually pick up on even if they're actively observing the high end raiders, though.

SE bans accounts regularly. RMT makes new bots regularly because players line their pockets with cash. This will never end as long as players keep paying for their services.

This is 100% the concern and inevitable at this point unless SE steps in soon, and I hope they will.

Actually not yet, not until I see someone start a thread about how people who color their glams red are ruining the game.

Someone already made a thread because "modern" glam ruin their immersion .. so we're getting close there.

which is why they need to start banning the buyers. period. market goes away, so do the bots.
