kind of a cope, but I don't see how it affects to you, wow will probably die soon.
it's the streamers own business if they want to potentially get in trouble lol.

Because I have seen this all before in MMORPG's. It's only a matter of time before the community makes certain addons mandatory. It's a trend I've all seen before. It's becoming far too normalized and accepted.
As sad as SE is about somethings. I don't think you have to worry about normalized addons. Also remember SE actually suspended a streamer for harassment out of game. Most fo the are smart enough to not get to pushy about anything.
It is a little sad. More UI customization is always a good thing. It would be great if SE had someone working on this and small QoL improvements all the time.
Considering it's against the TOS? Lol no. Besides, who cares are we sheep?
The idea that addons are mandatory anywhere is in your own head. Plenty of people in WoW conquer mythic content (mythic plus, and raids both) and PvP on a stock UI.
I do believe that what truly happened here is that you saw a video of a really cool UI mod, realized it was only for PC, and got quite jealous over the fact that PC folks can do super-cool mod to their UI, while you sit there with a console and no mods. Not being able to deal with those feelings, you turned it into a tirade against addons in general. Be honest, now.
Rarely do I ever quote Shakespeare, despite being a bookworm, but now's the time, and you gotta take these moments when you can get 'em:
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"
In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can read about it here, if you care: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_la...much,_methinks. The phrase is used in everyday speech to indicate doubt of someone's sincerity, especially regarding the truth of a strong denial.

I have XIV on console and PS5 so I have nothing to be jealous of. I work all day at a desk and prefer to play on console. I think console experience is superior for this game.
You say a lot of baseless things. You don't know 'everyone who plays WoW', so you have no idea how everyone plays. You base your ideas off of the group of people you observe, which isn't "everyone that plays."
Put simply, you only know about:
- The streamers you may watch
- The people in your guild
- Your individual friends.
You know the behavior of, what, a hundred people? Two hundred? LMAO that ain't a drop in the bucket when it comes to determining what "all" of some group of people do.
Before I discovered addons, I raided heroic (before mythic days) with a stock UI, as did my friends. Deal.
