Let them move to discord, tbh, at least that place has it easier to verify age, and yeah maybe you can't get rid of it because logging everyone's private tells and party chat would violate their privacy, but you can be sure that if someone decides to report the instance you'll have to face the consequences, no amount of yapping on the forum will change that.

It's already on Discord and there's no "easy" way to verify age. Do you know how easy it is to get a fake ID? I could literally get one right now for $20 and have it pass both irl and online. It's also extremely easy to manipulate a photo to make it look older through Photoshop or other apps. Birth certificates can be photoshopped. You can get someone on Fiverr to do it for you for cheap lol.

Getting a fake ID is a lot more hassle than just saying I'm 18, though, but go off. Honestly if someone lies to you about their age with that much effort I don't think that's really your fault, the problem is when some people continue this kinda behaviour even after the lie is over.

It's really not a hassle, it's filling out a form and sending a photo. If someone is that determined to come off as a certain age, they will. Also, what's stopping a minor from saying they're also 18 then? I'm just trying to point out the flaws in your logic and how one platform isn't better or safer than the other.

Then wait until you can be a proper judge of the person? I mean it's for the best, just focus on the RP till you know you can trust the person, if they act like they come from GenshinTWT they probably aren't an adult. If someone lies they are bound to eventually slip up. and Discord does ask your age verification, that's why I think it's at least a smidge better.

It's always been a conversation where I'm asked about myself and flirted with before it's been brought up. I'm well aware of what roleplay is, but OOC is still an important part you can't just do anything to other people's characters that'd be godmodding, and honestly yeah the standard type of ERP that floats in my mind doesn't have much of a feel them out period. Then again, if someone lies to you then that's not exactly your fault at that point.

Yeah, it's concerning. I never said I look at it like that or want to look at it like that but it's the way the internet works. People put on persona's and disregard the actual person behind the screen that they're talking to. Even in friendships made online you'll see this happen. It's why people feel more free to insult others online because they don't actually know the person they're talking to and will most likely never meet them.

I dont know why everybody thinks, that the ERP comm is ok with underage content or having members under 18. But maybe someone can ask a representive of this comm to clarify it, if that is not enough.

Well at least the LGBTQ+ community speaks out against such stuff and distances itself from it. All i hear from the ERP community are excuses and "we can't do anything about it" or other really crazy mental gymnastics.
