Good luck ever having that hold up against the devs and/or GMs. You're out of your mind if you think this would hold any weight. It it is against the terms of service to not participate. Unless the person in cutscene is a tank or healer, if that pull happens, you are meant to partake in the fight. Its not reaching. Holding back because possible wipe for not having a tank or healer is 1 thing. But not joining in because someone is watching cutscene and you are making a stand is another. One of those is reportable
You're also obviously rules-lawyering by twisting the ToS to meet your insane idea.
Which do you honestly, truthfully believe the Devs/GM would side with:
A) Impatient whiny idiot who couldn't wait 30 seconds. "OMG they didn't help kill the monster I pulled even though everyone wasn't ready T_T"
B) Courteous player waiting for the new guy to get his intended cutscene time.
If you honestly think A, you're trolling. There is no way a sane person would think a game developer who's entire goal is to attract new players would side with someone who actively damages that new player experience.
Give me one screenshot or cited instance where the Devs or GM has supported your opinion. Just one. I can give at least 3 where the devs have definitively decided that "no, you really should wait and be courteous": Castrum, Praetorium, and, I dunno, the unskippable cutscenes in the Nier raids?
The devs literally took action and ruined the option for veteran players to skip cutscenes because of people like you. It's not a lot, but I could have been messing in my inventory bag or repairing gear while I waited but nooooo, can't have nice things.

Except it isn't. Because if you're going to make the argument that remaining outside the arena when others have rushed in is reportable, then so are some other situations. Like the person who is on their way but doesn't get there as fast. They're outside the arena when others are inside. Obviously they are shirking their responsibilities. Or the person who stays behind (especially in Prae) when others rush ahead to make sure new folks know where to go. They're not rushing ahead with the others and participating in all the trash fights, so of course they're refusing to do their job. Or how about when I died on a boss, the tank paid no attention, pulled the next pack of trash while I was still returning (because SE has no concept of what shortcut really means) and died because I wasn't there to heal them. Well, obviously I should have learned to teleport so I could be right there and shame on me for not doing my job because I wasn't there.
Goji is right on this one. The ToS clause is directly related to griefing. Because if it wasn't, then just falling behind would be reportable. The person waiting for someone in a cutscene isn't griefing. They are remaining with the new party member just like someone guiding new folks in Prae and intend to join the rest of the party with the new person so they can both participate. Good luck finding a GM in this game who would *ever* find being kind and considerate to sprouts something to be punished for.
The irony of this thread
Op - people get nasty to push their self righteousness
Response - people get nasty pushing their self righteousness
yes. It's quite amusing to read the back and forth tbh.
person a: waiting is disrupting!
person b: premature pulling is disrupting!
There is no end. It's like Yoshidas talking point on 3rd party application "is a calc a 3rd party tool? Excel? A browser?"
Just an observation. Op and Kolaina have so little free time they can't give someone 60 seconds for a cutscene but they are in this thread everyday spending time debating their lack of time... there comes a point you have to come to the self realization that the real reason is that you just don't care about the experience of others. You don't have the time because you don't want to give it. You both certainly have the time to write multiple novel length posts because that's in your self interest. That's the definition of being self righteous. I don't really care personslly but its kind of hilarious people that frame an argument on lack of time seem to have an awful lot of it. Just be honest with your selves you don't care, you don't need anyone's validation. Do you feel guilty ? Why do you care so much what people think. Your on a little white knight crusade of your own defending the Op.
Funnily enough I respond during cutscenes or between hades ex farm queues. I’m just on the side of pulling is no big deal and people don’t need to get as upset as they do over itJust an observation. This thread reminds me of the lvl 50 final dungeons back in the day, on smaller scale however. It's a good thing the majority of people are considerate enough to wait instead of behaving like some here.
Not against the ToS, send me some ¥¥¥ to be your slave, otherwise get your pathetic narative from other threads and live by watching me solo the boss for 15 minutes.
For someone to claim don't care for anyone here on forums says, you act fairly defensive when you got called out on your mentality.
I highlighted a few words you like to describe your fellow players with, cause you may disagree with waiting on a new player watching a <1 minute cutscene. Pretty disingenuous if you ask me.
If you don't want to wait that long, run the dungeons pre-made or don't bother or don't act surprised when people call it out.
Yen? Are you living in japan?
When was it established that I'm obligated to pay you anything? I don't recall appoving of said transaction.
Given how much you use pathetic you just look childish and probably should take a step back.
But hey, we all been edge teenagers at one point.
And suddenly you got thinskinned? That's an obvious meme and you know it. Don't throw rock in a glass house.
