Most people want a speedy run or don't mind a speedy run. You can take 40-50 minutes or you can take 11-20 minutes. I find that 20 minutes isn't too long but isn't too short and stops me from being burned out doing a dungeon like I get from alliance raids. There is a thrill to racing through them too.

If someone wants to go and get treasure, that's fine but I'm not doing that as the tank every time. If they pull the mobs I will aggro them but I'm not going out of my way down all the different caves in Sastasha. If they want to do that they could form a custom party or be the tank themselves. It's not respectful of the randomly-matched party's time to ask that.

I absolutely hate mentors they can turn an easy raid into drama when they whine about mechanics. They can seriously turn any situation into a negative one
Your assumption is that it's a mentor problem. It's an experienced player problem because experienced players have seen it all before and just want to rush through. It just so happens that highly experienced players usually wear a mentor icon.

While we're talking things that arn't right about mentors in sinefeld sound bites, what's the deal with a limit of 20 on the exp buff? We can't group with them and be useful until the first dungeon at 15, and one run of that puts them at 20.

my only issue is the roulette
and not so much content in it just the rewards after
i dont mind the small tome reward for most content but if i get something like Prae or Castrum is really should be 40-50 of weekly cap tome

Which I remind them they queued for leveling and just because they want to keep their mentor status that’s not those players problems.

And yet what you’re witnessing aren’t just ‘mentors’ quirks’. Any ‘funny individual’ can behave just like that, just like good player without mentor icon teaching another player that could be a player who doesn’t want to show their icon, too.

Yeah I agree, it's the only way not to be bigoted. Give us two crowns instead of one. My head is so big I can wear two crowns.

That is quite the feature to do so, should go more for tedious work... and remove macro ways og stuff, you could add in you need all trade beasts tribes to max as well, which means you need to pass all content even lvl80 content to unlock it, also... severe increase the collection part, and remove any auto way of it.

My actual point is to increase the overall quality of mentors you receive by getting rid of players who can't even clear a slight step above Normal content in difficulty.

The amount of mentors who are absolutely against even attempting to clear this expansion's versions of Extreme is mind-boggling. But I keep seeing it.

Also. What's up with the belief you're only there to help new players? Are asking mentors for advice strictly exclusive to sprouts? Am I not allowed to ask ya'll questions about lvl 80 content, raiding, rotations, pots, foods and so on?
Because that's the literal point of the system..? To help new adventurers get a grasp of the game and answer questions they might have. Did you miss that thing called 'novice network'? With the emphasis on the word 'novice'. Look, I get your point, you want it to be something that it is not, you want it to encompass everything and that is also why you think mentors should be able to clear everything up to and including current Extremes.. but that is not the point of the system. That is why the requirements are not what you want them to be, because that wasn't the intent.

Doesn't mean they couldn't expand and more importantly improve the system. You can have mentors whose purpose it is to aid new adventurers, as we do now. You can also have.. I dunno, endgame mentors? Whose specific purpose it is to help and if they so desire teach the ins and outs of the various endgame contents.

Last I check you can be a novice at raiding and ask for help involving it. You can be a novice at nearly everything in this game, to be perfectly frank, from Eureka to DR to Savage and Ultimate content. And I personally think that mentors should at least be able to offer some semblance of insight on semi-difficult content.

Additionally, your argument doesn't change the fact that there is Extreme content in Mentor Roulette at the moment. Which is something you're expected to do synced if you happen to get it.

If you can't handle Extreme content synced than you shouldn't be a mentor in the first place.

You are mostly just helping new players (below level 71 quests), but you get returners in the novice network who can be at the current patch and want advice on current content, including relic weapons and high-end content preparation.

The returners don't remain in there long enough to need detailed advice on the mechanics but if they did some of the mentors in there would no doubt have done the content.

Ignoring the novice network, if you happen to be a mentor that is in that sort of content you can probably give some mechanic advice on it and if you never do that sort of content then you won't need to provide mechanic advice on it anyway.

Doesn’t need a rehaul, it just needs binning. It was a nice idea but it’s never at any point worked as intended. People become mentors for the little crown and/or the two seater Pegasus mount. That’s it.

Helpful players will be helpful regardless of mentor status and so will the unhelpful ones.

Just retire it and stick Astrope into something else.
