As a main tank it is extremely fun to see a DPS running around and trying to kite mobs because they aggro'd it before you.

Memes aside I do agree with what Vahlnir explained. Efficiency is important to me, especially in duty finder because I know it can take a while. You wanna pull mobs too ? Fine, they'll die in no time to AoEs anyway.
That this the thing that mindset is dated. It serves no real purpose since in this game not much changes for the tank when it comes to trash. It is mostly a comfort thing and and senseless tank flex that helps and serves nothing.
