I laugh but how is this also not considered toxic also?Luckily, I run with a healer who sits behind me when we play when I tank things like Expert Roulette. If I get a DPS in there who likes to tank - I let them. I'll stand and wait to see their glorious ways of showing me how to tank while they run around trying to kite mobs.
Oh, and the healer stands and watches too. Once they are done flexing said e-peen, we move on. If the DPS is so good at floor tanking, they can raise themselves too.
I don't stand for that garbage. I don't do single mobs at a time, but there are a couple of places I don't wall pull - notably when you get in low level dungeons. DPS seem to believe in them that you can play like you are 80. So, I let them have at it.
You are right - it's not hard, and we don't need added issues with impatient idiots. It's not a job - I log in to play and enjoy a break. Thick skin mentality is old and stupid. Everyone is different than the next, and a lot of people seem to forget that.
I mostly tank but I do not understand this mindset. In the grand scheme tank playstyle does not change be it three mobs or twenty. Group success is largely based around the healer and overall group dps.

It's a simple rule : "If you pull something you tank it."
As a main tank it is extremely fun to see a DPS running around and trying to kite mobs because they aggro'd it before you.
Memes aside I do agree with what Vahlnir explained. Efficiency is important to me, especially in duty finder because I know it can take a while. You wanna pull mobs too ? Fine, they'll die in no time to AoEs anyway.
That this the thing that mindset is dated. It serves no real purpose since in this game not much changes for the tank when it comes to trash. It is mostly a comfort thing and and senseless tank flex that helps and serves nothing. It's a simple rule : "If you pull something you tank it."

Yeah, I used to be one of those tanks a long time ago in WoW, and when I tried tanking on PLD in this game at the start. At the end of the day it accomplishes nothing but punishing the whole group by wasting everyone's time.
Dated or not here's a lot of places in this game where if you pull something as a dps before your tank, you can die very quickly without them having the time to react. In Baldesion Arsenal, trash mobs are pulled one by one sometimes and if you attack before your tank you can get one shot. Bosses in savages sometimes do a double auto-attack on pull, I'm not sure why but this can easily destroy a dps on minimum ilvl if you early pull even half a second before your tank. So while this doesn't matter at all in dungeons because mobs don't hit hard at all, it's still not a thing one should make a habit of.
Overall, just let your tanks pull the mobs. And tanks, if your dps has the aggro of some mob for whatever reason please give them a hand. Aggroing as a dps serves no purposes unless you're actually bringing the mobs to your tank instead of running around like a chicken. Purposedly not taking the aggro of what your dps took is as detrimental as it slows everyone else and makes it very annoying for the healer.
