It sounds like you had an impatient dps who kept pulling? Yeah, that's unfortunate (and annoying!) but you are going to have a rough time later on if you can't handle that just one time. Squadron missions only go up to 60, so...and you can't pick and choose.

Mobs fates and Leves to 20 -> Squadron or PotD to 61 -> HoH to 71 -> Trusts or Bozja to 80.

That's the route I went on my tank and it went fine.

I realize that probably doesn't make you feel any better, but I'm under the impression that you might not be cut out for tanking because you don't seem to have the patience. There's nothing wrong with that, but it might be best to step away from the role to avoid further frustration. It requires a certain mindset that you may or may not have.

Not really. I have my lv80 tank and while I don't play it much this expansion I used to main one in StB and I'd be comfy enough picking it up for endgame trials and raids. But I'd never, ever pug a dungeon with it. Ever.
The idea that tanks "need a thick skin" and must endure dps in dungeons behaving like children is false, no one pays to play a game to suffer. You can simply opt out of DF and still enjoy all other aspects of tank in better content in organized groups.
