I'm gonna disagree with the original post.

Eulemore is too compact, and you see this more when the game has more people playing at once. People have always sat AFK in the end-game hub, and I have my own unrelated thoughts on this, but it leads to the place feeling too crowded. The main floor area is smaller than both Rhalgar's Reach and Idyllshire while we now have a larger player base than we did with either of these two places were the end-game hubs, and considering how much more importance the Crystarium has to us as an allied city compared to Eulemore, it just feels odd that we would abandon our friends to hang out with the people who literally tried to kill us.

Also the decor is completely a matter of taste... for me I find Eulemore to be tacky in its over the top opulence, and find myself preferring the more classy minimalism of the Crystarium as well as its more open venues. Also it's worth noting that both places have areas to sit and be social, since that was brought up, and both have a bar you could sit at. Additionally, it's the Crystarium that has the market boards which already makes it the place I prefer to hang out.

Though all that said.... why is there always only one place to spend tomestones? They could have put a tomestone vendor in the markets in the Crystarium and let people choose which city to hang out in. They already showed this expansion that they don't have to have the end game gear vendor in one place only since you can exchange for Eden gear in both Eulemore and Mord Souq
