Yeah, if its layout was a bit more convenient I'd spend a lot more time there. It's a beautiful city.

Eulmore's neat but the garish pink opulent aesthetic isn't as much my thing. It's a convenient spot, but it also feels kind of cramped, and there isn't much use made of the lower floors as far as I can tell.

It's basically wasted space, we barely went there for questing to begin with. Almost reminds me of the back half of Idylshire or mast of Rhalgar's Reach.

Lots of space and no reason to explore or use it.

while eulmore have everything in close vicinity, it doesnt have this "capital city" feel, its more like a glamorous resort complex than a city (with slums placement on the outside)

i mean yoshi and others clearly based this on lore and look so crystarium is the obvious choice, i mean its the crystal tower, a pretty important symbol in the game.

the way i see it crystarium is more on look, story and symbolic (last bastion of the "good guys"), while eulmore is more simplicity and easy access (gameplay activity, with all needed npc put in 1 room)

after eulmore is liberated, i doubt everyone ever going down to the floor below anymore, that's pretty much show the place function.

I don't see how that makes a difference here, because now rather than overloading the Crystarium, they're overloading Eulemore, both of which are city instances people have to go through for story. But if they had had a tomestone vendor in both cities, that would split the players between which town they hang out in, making it less taxing to have so many players in one place at the same time.

But the issue there is if both places had tomestone vendors then people would still head for the Crystarium because it still has all the amenities of a city plus tomestones, while Eulmore only really has tomestones.

Eulemore has the crafter hub too.

But even still, either way you end up with lots of players in one spot, since that was the other person's reasoning for not having a vendor in the Crystarium. As it is now everyone is only in one city. So that just makes the point moot since both are in-game cities and either one would have lots of players overloading it. At least the Crystarium wouldn't feel so cramped/claustrophobic if there were more people in it....

That would make me like the size of the Crystarium more, if a lot people went there.

I've never felt such a full body rejection before over this game. Ugh, why. Eulmore is horrible. Why anyone can stand to be there longer than it takes to exchange their gear is beyond me. I honestly question your taste if you think it's better than Crystarium. I bet you like gold gilded white marble rooms, too.

I'm with you. Eulmore deco not to my taste. Had Crystarium as my homepoint since 5.0. That place helps me chill out and I like how it looks when it rains. All of that space and rooms without functional items in them is how I like my fantasy worlds, it's better for immersion to have a lot of living space with nice views instead of just tight hubs with convenient features.

I like color. I like things that feel and look expensive. I like posh settings - even bordering on places that look fake or garish.

The Crystarium is huge, mostly empty, gloomy, and unspeakably plain. In a game of sterile settings, it is NASA clean room.
