In the link he posted its outright stated that more and more will come with time.

We'll make more things compatible over time, bit by bit, but they won't be compatible at launch.

Also we did get headgear since the release of shadowbringer that work for the new races.

So they need to make MORE things for this lil event just to make it fair?

Yes, which in turn would be great for everyone since it would mean more rewards than just helmets that most of the people will just put away because the just look horrible for a lot of us anyways.

If you go around and limit something then you need to give those people something in exchange. Otherwise they are paying the exact amount of money as others but will get less for it. And seeing how their sub numbers is over a million with shadowbringers they will surely have the money to create a bit more than those few things for an event.

(But I am also of the opinion that a lot of their events are bad..)

Most of their events are filled with trash housing decorations. Literally worthless. I feel like the majority of last years events sucked butt in comparison to other years in the first place.

I find it a bit disturbing that NEW ITEMS aren't made to fit Viera. I hope this changes and that we get some relief soon. 5.2 needs to be a turning point in the availability of hairstyles and other related items. I find it hard to understand why it's taking so long at this point.

Easy they don't bother with hats. Hair, that's just on the backburner.

Thats how you get these Companies to know the players aren't happy.
It's not like its the same person complaining. It's just a reflection of how many people dislike it.

The main problem I think is because theres been no update on the situation. New hair and helms keeps coming for the old races but hats and hair continue to not work on the new ones which tells me they aren't actually trying to get certain stuff to work on them. Unless they are creating a new system.

That being said I just went back to elezen. I don't see anything happening anytime soon so I'm not gonna bother lol

Before I waste more time, did they EVER say that hats and helms would be added? That ALL head gear would work at any point in time?
Cause right now there are a ton of head gears that do work ... head gear meaning things like Glasses/ visors/ mask/ face stuff in general/ horns. Everything but hats and helms. "We'll make more things compatible over time" =/= "we're going to make hats and helms work"

I mean ... "It won't be displayed, because those face parts wouldn't work in FFXIV's system if headgear were involved. Even Viera ears would've had to be moved down to where Miqo'te ears are. " coupled with the fact that even new gear does not break the no hats or helms pattern would kinda give you a hint that you shouldn't be waiting around for them to release hats and helms later.


(Also, read the rest of my post. I talk about how we get new head gear that works IF it's not a hat or helm. Why is that? Could it be that I'm right and they don't intend to make hats and helms work and that what they had planned for "post release bit-by-bit work" was just the release stuff that is legit every non-hat/ helm in the game?)

So take away these silly animal helms and replace them with some head wear everyone could wear on their head just cause Viera and Hrothgar can't where helms?

This isn't limited to Viera and Hrothgar. Devs have either been busy with something or are overworked trying to keep up with the normal patch schedule. New jobs don't even have any primal glamour weapons nor do they have ultimate weapons. Heck even the last expansions new jobs didn't have their own ultimate weapons. They look like they're struggling right now with something. Previously I thought it might have been the Nier collaboration but with the loss of a dungeon, I'm beginning to suspect something is up.

My understanding was that the old hats would take time to come around but everything new following launch would be compatible. Guess I understood wrong.

What's funny to me is there are poor sods clinging to the hope of male viera, but if the team won't try to do new helms/hats why would they make males xD
