    Allied Seals have been in the game since early ARR. Yes, they are lackluster, and made even more so by the fact that GNB and DNC (as well as SAM/RDM) got nothing new from them.

    Yes it is. Core design ideas are not immune to criticism especially if there is a chance they are going to keep repeating the same mistake.

    I will make it as clear as I can in my feedback that limited jobs are trash, so that they don't kill Beastmaster too. They take too much resources, they can't be mained, they have little content, they don't get to play with other jobs even in their own level range, they can't really solo anything, they are worse for farming old dungeons than max level jobs, they are not useful in hunts and they are not even good for leveling chocobos after the nerf. They are just useless in every possible way. Constructive criticism at this point would be like trying to build a house on mud.

    The solution is implied as they should unlimit/rework aspects of it but I guess you missed that. Also theres not much to "get" about various 220 pot skills, they have different effects in carnival? Okay? You can still clear it all without them, and in any actually challenging content you'll still be spamming the one with the most range. Please tell me what I'm not getting, your not being very constructive.

    Grade 8 Materia has so many sources, so yes it is lackluster, I'm rolling in grade 8 materia, and I have all the poetics I could ever need, and I dont need to buy anything else with allied seals. So yes, lackluster. A solution? Blu could give endgame currency in small amounts, thats a small solution, but hey there's one.

    While they had marketed BLU with that, I think it was meant to be solo because of the masked carnivale. All skills that you need to complete can be learned from overworld monsters. BLU being able to do instanced content is just extra fun and content, and optional. All the extra stuff if actually just optional collectibles. So I don't think they had contradicted their initial marketing.

    At least it is what I understood. While not necessarily agreeing with them. I'm all up to more group BLU content. I mean, what's the bad thing about doing group content with BLU? It's fun, and it's what we do with other jobs.

    I agree with the benefit of a dedicated DF. But I can understand why that would not work, players would just get tired of waiting hours of queue and would go to PF intead. But I think a BLU roullete for every intance would be good, excluding extreme and savage of course.

    You can't learn all the skills needed for carnivale from the overworld though? You need mind blast and glower to pass quests to unlock it, and I'm pretty certain you need diamondback to clear some missions of it, can only get those from instances.

    I do agree that it should have an auto-matching feature like the DF though, would at least make grouping to do content as BLU a lot easier and more convenient.

    As it is, I don't feel like there's much to appreciate right now in regards to BLU which is disappointing as we all know the devs can do a lot better with it than what we've received.

    The Masked Carnevale is meant to be their version of end game though. The pre-game and end game can't differ to that great of an extant. And as someone else mentioned, several of the "required" spells are from group activities. If every spell was from the overworld, then all would be well, maybe. But the fact that we are forced to group up is a big part of the issue as well. It's neither, solo content with the option to group or group content with the option to solo. It's a continuous back and forth between the two, which gets frustrating when your current "mode" doesn't align with other peoples.

    Theres 24 slots. What happens if more than 24 spells FROM PLANNED 128 become mandatory as you want? Not good. Do you want them to delete all these beauties?

    If you like to use the spell with the most range, that's you. The magic of choice involves more than that. You can choose what is you main damage spell, what it looks, the AoE shape, the damage type, and that's awesome.

    Currently there is Condensed libra, that alone makes you want to have 1 astral "220 pot", 1 umbral "220 pot" and sharpened knife.

    You can choose sleep + death, or freeze and kill with damage, or stun + sharpened knife... Perpetual ray can stun passing through resistances, so one BLU can use that and the other players Sharpened knife. There's so much to do and all works well, does not necessarily needs to be the "meta" comp, because its not only the meta that completes the duty. And on top of that, the monsters are different, with different resistances, making you willing to choose a better strategy. You can do it, or keep spamming the one spell you have, that's the choice.

    With all that explained, what do you want BLU to be? a 24 spell normal job without all these rich collections of spells? To what? Farm the best ilvl to become useless in the next ilvl patch? Why bother? It all resumes if you have fun or not.

    Still is kind of a problem as you still need to drag a buddy along for it, or come back when you're very overleveled. Also, still need Diamondback for some carnival missions, can only get that in Stone Vigil Hard or Steps of Faith.
