Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

A few permit related ideas:

A "Patrol" option, which would let us set two (or more?) destinations for a permit NPC to wander between. So I imagine you'd place down the NPC, then tic the option for "Patrol" and get to place it down a second time, then the NPC would move between those two spots, idling for an appropriate amount of time at the start and finishing spot.

A "Interact" option, which would let us set a permit NPC to "use" the nearest piece of appropriate furniture. So say you place a NPC in front of a stove and select this option, their idle animation would now be them cooking at the stove. In front of a counter, perhaps they start wiping it down. They could actually sit on chairs, use stools, read books from bookcases. All of these animations already exists as far as I'm aware, it's just a case of setting up the function. Might be iffy with Lalafell, but I'm sure they can just magic out a stool to reach high up places?

And because I'm still waiting for this to be added:

NPC permits for "fun" activities. Permits that don't add a shop or any function like that, just ones that liven up the place. Musicians, Entertainers, Dancers, etc. Could even have some functionality added to them, like a Triple Triad NPC who you can set the deck of (using your cards, of course), was also thinking a Bard that you play a song for using the Performance UI and he then repeats it ad nausium, but then I remembered the legal fluff surrounding Performance being added to begin with and that's probably crossing a line... Still, plenty of entertaining NPCs you could add with this regardless.

Large carpet/floor board games for FC events please! Example, big garden board game about airship and adventuring with dice rolls and player pieces which move! All themed to FF and reminiscent of past adventures and whimsical parts of the game which are always a joy to remember or play about in.

That's an interesting idea. Might be a bit too complex to implement the whole airship thing due to the loading issues they're still struggling with on the server side, but heck even a nice hopscotch game or chess set would be fun!

I was about to make an entire thread on something like this 100% on board. but maybe instead of permits (sinces theres a limit) howbout making nonshop housing npcs count as a furishing? now for my suggestion for the front yard anyways how bout a pet? (not one of your minions thou not against) but like a dog that runs around or a cat that lazyly stalks the porch, or rabbits eating your crops.

I only basically have 2 items on my housing wishlist.

1) Since only 1 character (my main) is allowed a house/account/world (privately) I would love for my alts to have access to my house. I can't even tenant them, because I can't 'friend' my alts to name them as tenants. It would be super nice if all characters belonging to the same account could access that account's house.

2) Glamour Dressers either as GC exclusive sales or craftable for use in houses please!

Christmas cards on a string! The traditional English way of displaying Christmas cards is to put two thumbtacks on the wall, hang a string between them, then drape the christmas cards along the string, nicely displaying them without getting in the way or gathering dust. I think it would add some festive cheer to this game as well as being funny from the themes the cards could be about.

Bonus points if the string could be draped in multiple waymarks or points, and visually fills up as you add cards to it, similarly to a smart bookshelf that visually fills up as you add books/cards into it (someone even modded that into Skyrim, it actually shows the correct covers of the books after auto-sorting them, so shouldn't be a problem for the professional developers). Some people prefer their card drapery to be zig-zagging in the shape of a Christmas tree, for instance.

I would like to have the option to upgrade Appartements (with GC seals or other tokens). Maybe the option to add a 2nd floor on it. Or replace the northern wall with a balcony (fake outdoor view included).
