    Wow. Melodramatic, much?

The meter exists because it's the only real recourse players have to measure their overall performance. Without it, there's nothing but guesswork. And if there's nothing but guesswork, then the playerbase probably wouldn't have discovered just how bad the balance between classes is right now and effectively direct the developers' efforts. People wouldn't have gone through the effort to create and maintain it if it wasn't necessary for the raid community to understand how the game works. We are, after all, playing a game that doesn't even tell you exactly how stats like 'Critical Hit', 'Determination', and 'Direct Hit' scale, among others.

Plus, I haven't run into any situation where someone actually uses the meter to kick another player from the party. If anything, it's a failure to learn mechanics and adapt with the rest of the team, which naturally drops your damage over time and/or leads to a wipe anyway, meter or not. Bad players just blame the meters as a catch-all excuse for their own shortcomings instead of trying to improve themselves.

I've seen people get kicked from statics because their numbers were too low and they've been butting their head against the boss enrage for too long (That was how I got into my current static), but that's different from pug raids.

I shall reiterate: If you're not beating enrage, it's because you're failing mechanics and/or failing to adapt with the rest of the team. The meters aren't going to suddenly change an enrage wipe to a clear if your performance stays the same, all it does is show people how you're failing. What each person does with that information is up to them.
