    Yeah because Yoshida just have to snap is finger and tadaaaaam : new tomestone, new gears, new lv 80 items and every dungeon in balanced around a new dungeon scaling feature.

    You already have it, its called Ultimate, its challenging and will never be easy enough to stop being a relevant challenge years after. There is actualy two and two to three more are incoming during the xpac.

    So people like me who enjoy hard group, but not raid content, have to be contend with the usual few lvl 80 dungeons?

    And even if I'd develop the taste for Ex trials/Savage raids: it's a tiny selection of instances, just scaled up in difficulty - and the same selection of them stays relevant until the next patch, when a new selection is taking their place and rendering the previous set almost obsolete in terms of item rewards.

    As for the rewards: tomestones + lvl 80 items are already available, if you want to use the current available pool.

    But yeah, the challenge would be to use the scaling-tech to scale dungeons up:
    • The numbers on enemy HP/damage can't be that hard, as you can use the current lvl 80 as a base of comparison
    • The actual challenge would be to account for every ability you have at lvl 80 and how older instances were created with a different skill set/skill scaling in mind

    sounds like you'd only enjoy baldesion arsenal, as XIV doesn't offer what you want besides that.
