Better to fail in a PUG than actually be a member of a static. Can't imagine that level of embarrassment.

Yes, I can't imagine how embarrassing it must be to find players who aren't bad at clearing content, know what they are doing, organizing around everyone's work/sleep schedule, actually helping each other out, and actively enjoy being around each other. I would rather fail a billion times in the "Farm Party" PF groups that fail because they hit Innocence enrage at 30% HP, while trying the point the finger at each other because someone is trying to get carried, sometimes 2 or 3 people.

I don't understand. None of the people I play with treat it like a job.

"When can you guys play, do you wanna prog E2S this week?" doesn't sound like work. We actively enjoy playing with each other, and actively enjoy progressing. The barrier being the timeframe.

Is it really that incomprehensible that some people genuinely enjoy coming together on a schedule to try to progress through content?

Do you think scheduling other hobbies is "making it a job" and "embarrassing"? What if it's a weekly DND group? A weekly sports or programming or sandcastle building or insert-whatever-group-hobby-here group? Joining a group and scheduling time to do things together just sucks all the fun out of things, right?

I guess content is only supposed to be enjoyed one way. Better not do it the wrong way, or you'll just embarrass yourself.

This is how endgame content in mmos work. And it is not a job. Does going to a bowling league or any team sporting event make that a job? Why would coming together with your team be work in a mmo then?

Savage and ultimate content is not for pug, simple as that. So need to get a group together and set times to raid. OR you have to wait 1.5-2 months for everyone to ultra outgear the content then pugs work more often then not on earlier tiers.

Yup. Crystal doesn't do raids. At any given time they have less than half of total PFs for highend duties than aether or primal

Welp, that is the community to blame.
Everyone wants to stay away from Icky Balmung and friends with making it a "RP" data center
and then high-tailed it to Aether, and behold, still problems like you would find in any other
center. I expect full-time no wipe or death clears from Aether lmao.

Also I have no idea what ya'll are talking about that Crystal doesn't raid. I saw a million PFs all night tonight and got my E1S weekly out of the way real quick.
