You may not be lying about what you paid at the time of your purchase, but in 2019—which any prospective PC gamer would be building in—budget components absolutely eviscerate your budget. I built this PC roughly a year and a half ago. I dunno, maybe the prices have gone up a bit. But still, it's about building a PC intelligently, which means shopping for the parts intelligently. Why spend $150 on a GPU when you can look harder and get a 1070 GTX for $100? Yeah, it's pretty obvious that you're going to pay through the nose if you go to the "usual places" for parts. But one of the things that makes parts so great is that you can get them from anywhere.
